"Do you have red paint in your house?" "Maybe it's in the storage room" You opened the store room and searched for red paint. You picked it up and a paint brush right beside it. "What are you going to do with it?" "Put a SOS symbol up on the terrace... I mean the news said that the rescue team will be here in the city soon like it's been a week now so yea" You ran up the stairs and opened the door to the terrace. You started painting the SOS symbol. You finished it within minutes. You got up and put the paint away. You turned to see the door to the terrace open. You smiled at Dhanush. He returned it back. You and Dhanush looked out the terrace at the empty road . "I... was scared" You continued to speak with your eyes focusing on the road. Dhanush looked at you waiting for you to continue "I mean...you know you may have been my best friend you still are just because we are in an actual relationship now it doesn't mean you aren't my bestie anymore you still are. I'll still share whatever I feel like sharing with you. I was scared to death when you had that bite mark I had feelings for you way before that and I didn't wanna lose you cause you were my everything.... I was really scared. I realised at that moment how much it will scare me if I lost you... I literally heard my heart shatter when you said...you wanted to protect me but as you said you didn't even think about sacrificing yourself " Dhanush held your hand. You chuckled softly "Remember when I said you were cheesy when you said you'll protect me even if it meant sacrificing your own life" He nodded and smiled a little "It's still cheesy" You broke into laughter making Dhanush laugh along with you "Hey I am happy you are here with me" You said as you turned to him . You kissed him on the forehead "I'm always there for you" Dhanush said placing his hands on either side of your face "I know" You kissed the palm of his hand. You and Dhanush heard the sound of copter. You looked up at the sky . The copter seemed to notice the SOS sign. It came to a stop and a rope ladder was released. You and Dhanush hid your faces due to the dust spreading around . An officer got out of the copter with the help of the rope ladder. He looked at you both before he started to speak "Let's get on the copter and we'll take you both to safety" "Can we take the necessary things?" "Sure be quick we can't be here for long the copter sound will attract the zombies" You and Dhanush walked down the stairs to fetch all the important things. You both ran back up and you closed the terrace door. "You got everything with you ma'am?" The officer asked you "Yes sir" You replied. You were about to climb the rope ladder as the officer went to Dhanush "What happened to your hand sir?" You walked upto him "Sir it's just a burn" He knew Dhanush was a celebrity and he stopped from asking a lot more questions and just smiled "Fine ma'am let's get going" You climbed up and Dhanush climbed up next . The officer checked the place once more and he climbed up too. The helicopter started to soar into the sky "Sir where are we going?" "There is a facility camp set up at the outskirts of the city it's safe out there and all of the survivors are staying there ma'am" "What will happen to the city?" Dhanush asked him the next question "Oh... we are clearing out the zombies by shooting them all. The city will be disinfected and we'll make sure there's no single one of them left. So it's safe for the people to come back into the city and they can go back to their lifestyle" "Seems like a huge process" "Yea but don't worry the facility camp is a safe place and you can stay there till the damages are fixed" Dhanush smiled at the officer and turned to look out at the city.
Months later
"No no we'll watch this" You jumped on the bed beside Dhanush "No this" You fake pouted at him "Fineee we'll watch frozen" He hugged you tight as you smiled into his chest. Back to normal. You sighed happily as Dhanush kissed you on the cheek.
