This was really weird, I had never seen that mark other than on my arm. As much as my mind wants to say it's just a coincidence I don't think it is. For one thing, how did the key end up on me? Earlier when I laid down in the flowers it definitely wasn't there. I was sitting there with the key in my hand very confused, when I remembered I was late for school.

"Oh no! I'm probably really late now!"

I hopped onto my feet and brushed off some of the dirt on my uniform. I put the key in my bag and began looking for the way out of the field. Looking around, I couldn't see where I first came in from the woods. "It must be around here somewhere," I thought. I heard a noise from behind me and I turned around, but as I turned around I fell back. Opening my eyes, I saw that I was no longer in the field of flowers, I was back in the woods. Must have gotten lucky I guess. I found the path that I use to get to school and began following it again. I really hope I don't get a detention for being so late. When I arrived at school I was shocked to see no one was there. No cars in the parking lot, no people visible through the windows. It was empty. I tried pulling on the door to open it, but it was locked. This is really weird, they only lock the doors on the weekends. It's only Wednesday! I suppose there could be the possibility that there was no school because of a conference, but it's strange that I wasn't informed. I guess the only thing I can do now is go to the fruit fields and pick fruits for Nora.

I take the route that leads to the fruit fields and I start to see more people. As I walk by each one of them notice that everyone is looking at me in an unusual way. I try to think that it's because of my dirty school uniform, but I don't understand why a dirty uniform is that crazy of a thing to see. Something I have noticed too, is that I don't recognize any of the people I am seeing. Normally, when I walk to the fruit fields the market people greet me, or the children wave and smile. This time they are all just staring. I take the right turn that goes over the wooden bridge. As I turn I accidentally bump into someone, am I clumsy today or what?

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't see you there." I say in small voice.

"Don't worry about it, are you new around here?" He replied with a kind voice.

I look up to see his face and he is only a little taller than me, he has spiky black hair with light brownish-red eyes. He looks like some sort of cosplayer or something. He's carrying a black sword on the back of his black, long sleeve shirt. I have no idea what's going on here though, our town has never had any kind of anime convention. I haven't heard anyone talking about one either.

"You look confused, are you lost?" He asked directly.

"Um... I have lived here for 7 years, is there a new anime convention or something that I don't know about?" I decided I would just start asking straight forward questions.

"What's an anime convention? Also, I've never seen you before, and I have lived here my whole life." His tone doesn't sound like he's lying.

What is going on here? I don't understand why there are people I don't know in my town, why people are dressed like cosplayers, why was the school closed? Hold on, if everyone so far has been replaced or something, where's Nora? I need to go home and make sure she is still there. I feel rude, but I leave they black haired guy in the middle of the conversation and begin running home. I don't remember the last time I ran this fast, the wind was blowing on my face. My blond hair flew behind me with each step. I decide to not go through the woods for the first time because it is a slower route. It feels weird running on the sidewalks, they are so much rougher than the soft dirt path in the woods. I see the OceanBreeze road sign and turn right. My house is a the end of the street by itself. I run up the gravel driveway and step onto the porch. Gasping for air, I knock on the door. I get too relived when I watch the door open, only to see that Nora wasn't there. Whoever it was, they were nowhere close to Nora. The person standing in front of me was an old woman with two cats purring at her feet.

"Can I help you darling?" The woman asked in a sweet voice.

"Oh sorry to bother you, wrong house.." I reply in great confusion.

"That's alright, have a nice day honey!" She said as she began closing the door.

"Wait! Do you know anyone named Nora May?" I ask loudly.

"No, I don't recall that name. Sorry sweetie! Have a nice day." She closed the door.

I can't believe this is happening. I fall asleep in a field of flowers to wake up in what seems like a different world! I don't know where to go, or what to do. The town itself looks exactly like mine, with the same street names and everything, but the people aren't anywhere near the same. I walk down the street and decide to see if my special spot is still here, I mean I don't know what else to do. I walk down the path in the woods and take the detour only I know about, or so I thought. The best part of this whole thing is that my special spot is still there. The small opening between the rocks and trees. I crawl through it and see the beautiful area I have been coming to since I first came here. I remember that day so well. The first day I started living with Nora I ran off in the middle of the afternoon. I ran through the woods and decided to go outside of the dirt path, I found the opening and crawled through. When I stood up I saw how gorgeous what I found was. The waterfall flowing into the pond, the trees covering above me to look like a roof with sun shining through, and the plants growing all around me. I will never forget finding this place.

I walk over to the giant tree root that's shaped like a chair, perfect size. I sit down and lean back. I pull out the key from my bag. I look at how it's a shiny silver color, the mark that's on my arm is colorless and it looks empty on the key. It's like a little indention for a stone shaped like the mark to go in. I grip the key tightly and look at the leaves above me. How did I end up here? I hear rustling in the leaves and turn my head. Instead of an animal I see the boy from earlier. He looks up and notices that I'm here.

"Looks like we keep running into each other." He says with a laugh.

I don't say anything, but I put the key back into my bag.

"You're not from around here, I'm pretty sure, but you seem to know where everything is. Have you been here before?" He asked looking into my eyes.

Instead of answering his question, I ask my own.

"Why are you carrying around a sword?"

He looked at his sword then back at me, he seemed kinda confused that I asked.

"I use it for the monsters that try to invade this town. Haven't you seen them before? There are usually tons outside of the barrier." He was replying straight forward.

"Monsters? Monsters don't exist."

He looked around the area, looked at my outfit, then back at my face.

"What's your name?" He asked out of nowhere.

"Tell me yours first." I replied, I don't even know this guy and he's asking for my name?

"I'm Casper Twilight, now your name?" His name suits his face.

"I'm Melody Cosmos." If I'm going to be here for a while, I might as well start talking to people.

Casper walked over to the waterfall and drew his sword. I slashed it through the water. He wiped off the sword with a handkerchief that he pulled out of his pocket. Then he put the sword onto his back again. As he turned to face me again he smiled.

"You have a pretty name." He said still smiling.

Casper held out his hand in front of me and asked, "Want to meet the town?"

I look at his face, then at his hand. I slowly lifted my hand and held the one he had in front of me. He pulled me up and lead me to the exit of the area. As we were crawling out of the special spot, I felt something tug my leg and pull me back.

The only thing I remember is Casper shouting at someone. Someone wearing all black with a mask on. I couldn't see very clearly, but I was in the strangers arms. I looked up at them, and I started feeling really sleepy. I blacked out.
