Context: your trap in a toxic relationship and Lucas is in love with you but he knows your to scared to leave.

• You and Lucas were childhood best friends, his only friend in fact

• When he heard you were in a relationship his heart was broken but he was enraged when he found out the relationship was toxic

• Your Boyfriend was controlling and hated when you'd hang with Lucas

• When he saw your boyfriend slowly pulling you away from him he immediately went to work

• No he didn't make a trap to kill him (though he would love to) he learned to play the piano

• His ma was caught off guard when he asked her to teach him but she happily accepted

• Lucas would practice everyday until the talent show. He knew you would be there to cheer him on

• Once called onto stage the crowd went quiet as Lucas approached  the piano

• Once there he called you onto stage and you happily skipped up and sat on the piano

• Once he started the song (The one that is taking the image place) you knew it was directed towards you

• You broke out laughing the more Lucas got into it, your boyfriend was furious by this and stormed out of the room

• Once he finished he turned to you, his face a bright red, you immediately tackled him and pulled him into a kiss

Story;

Lucas looked out at the crowd, he didn't feel nervous but that wasn't until his eyes landed on you, his heart practically jumped from his chest, he gulped then hid behind the curtain, Zoe was sitting on a chair since her Boyfriend was in the talent show.

"What if she doesn't like it?" Zoe looked up from her phone, "You two have been friends for almost a decade. You'll be fine." He bit his lip then sighed "Fine fine if you say so." He rolled his eyes "And next up, Lucas baker!" He heard only 4 people cheer for him, His ma, Pa, uncle Joe and You.

He approached the Piano, he pulled his hood up and sat on the Piano's chair, he leaned into the mic and stuttered "Uh, Y/N L/N could you approach the stage?" Y/N happily got up and skipped to the stage, she approached the Piano and sat on the edge flashing me a smile. His heart wrenched when he noticed a bruise on her wrist, he then looked over to see her boyfriend glaring at him.

He took a deep breath and started the piano. 

"You look so amazing in that sundress" 

Y/N blushed softly as she played with the edge of the skirt.

"Wonder what you look like when you're undressed"  

Her face went dark red and her boyfriend's jaw dropped. 

"I can see the future in your eyes. You know I would never tell you lies
I just wanna see you smile
So stick around a while, baby." 

Lucas could see her smiling faintly as her eyes practically sparkled with excitement and curiosity, her smile was everything to him and it hurt him emotionally when it faded every time HE would come by to pull her away.

"I see your man blowing up your phone
Telling you that you need to come home
F that clown, he ain't know 'bout a thang."

Lucas shrugged happily and Y/N started to giggle, he could hear Zoe trying not to die of laughter in the background, Y/N's boyfriend was gripping the chair harshly almost clawing it. 

"Look, I don't see no engagement ring
You said that he did you dirty
So what's the harm in flirting, baby?"

He flashes Y/N a derpy grin to which she returned.

" 'Cause your boyfriend's a bitch

He stood up and used one hand to point at him for a few seconds.

Y/N looked away as she smiled to herself, happy that Lucas was the one to pick up on the details.

Y/N's boyfriend got up and approached the stage, Joe immediately got up and started to pull him back, Y/N just glanced at him but immediately turned back to Lucas

Lucas pointed to himself.

"Seem like he still got your ass in check though." 

He pointed at her boyfriend, flipping him off.

"You ain't never cheated on your mans

Lucas pointed back to himself, Y/N realized what he was referring to and she started to laugh again with joy.

Y/N jumped off the piano and approched Lucas, she leaned down and kissed him on the cheek, his eyes widen for a second and he smiled up at her.

Y/N nodded and Zoe started recording, she zoomed in on the two and then to Y/N's now ex boyfriend, Lucas' dad came over and help Joe pull him away.

Y/n stood there speech less for a minute, but once Lucas was getting ready to start again she immediately joined in.

Lucas scratched his chin and shrugged "Eh you know I like to be extra dramatic." She accepted the answer and kissed his cheek "Lucas Baker! You know that song is very inappropriate to play!" A teacher yelled out Lucas laughed "I don't really care!" He yelled back "And why not?" The teacher questioned now dumbfounded, he immediately got up and picked Y/N up, spinning her around 

"Because I have a girlfriend!"
