I don't know about other fathers but my own father has a particularly annoying attitude, my father would never believe any of our gadgets have spoilt until it shocks him.

After my junior WAEC, I went to live with them at PH where they had already started a restaurant.

We had this double-door deep freezer, the freezer blocks everything that enters inside that at night we turn it off so that the drinks won't break into pieces.

Whenever anything refuses to come out, we would use a knife and pry it out, all was going well until one day, the knife made a hole in the freezer so the freezer started shocking.

Whenever you open the freezer to bring out water to give a customer, the freezer would shock your senses away.

My mother quietly complained to my dad after it shocked her, what did my father say? He said, nne hapu that thing, odighi ashock ihe obula. (leave that thing it doesn't shock anything.)

My mother called me and the girls working for us and told us, that if any customer needs water or drink, we should call my father to get it, that on no account should we go near that freezer again and we agreed.

That night, there was no light so some of the ice melted and water entered inside the freezer through that small knife hole.

The next morning, it was business as usual until our morning customers started coming. My mother called my father and went, nna biko nyere anyi aka nye ndi customer mmiri. (Please help us give customers water)

Odogwu rose with his big stomach and walked majestically to the freezer and the freezer was on at that point.

The next thing we had was him shouting nnem o, nnem o, nnem o, gbanuo nu freezer. (My mother o, my mother o, my mother o, you people should turn off the freezer).

All the while he was shaking like a break dancer until my mum slowly went and turned off the freezer.

He sat down and was shaking his head like a lizard and said that since he didn't die today, he won't die early.

Guy man quietly brought out his phone and called the repairer.
