"well, we were late." robin said. "yeah but she was so rude!" juliet complained.

"i know, i know, and i agree with you." robin raised his eyebrows and pressed his lips together.

robin let out a low gasp, "wanna, like, ditch?"

she paused for a minute to take in what he said,  "what?" she said super confused.

he smirked. "if we do you won't be late to your shift." he continued walking away then shrugged, "i guess you want to get your ass beat by your parents."

juliet rolled her eyes at him. "fine. let's go."

———-

"juliet, where have you been?" juliets dad said as he hugged his daughter.

"uhm, i just had to help my friend.." juliet said breaking from the hug.

her dad looked behind juliet and saw robin leaning on a wall, looking at the floor and narrowed his eyes at him.

"so, how's it been?" she asked leaving on the counter.

"well, since we just moved here we have been low on customers so far." her dad sighed.

"it's okay, dad. we'll get back into business soon." juliet smiled.

"and, uhm, im guessing now is not the best time to ask for free food for me and my friend?" she said smiled innocently.

he sighed and looked back at robin. "look at him. he's a greedy pelican."

robin didn't even notice her dad talking about him. "so hungry." robin mumbled to himself.

"thought i told you to stay away from people like him." he pressed his lips together.

"well, girls already hate me, dad." juliet said with a little bit of an attitude.

"they're all stuck up. i mean, they care more about how they looks than surfing. what am i supposed to do with that?"

she looked back at robin, "he's my best friend."

robin was spaced out but he looked up at the two and through up a '✌🏻' sign.

her dad scoffed at him.

"well, i- i gotta throw it out. might as well." he signed. juliet showed a big smile and bright him in for a hug. "thank you!"

"your welcome." he broke the hug, "i'll bring it out." he said walking into the kitchen.

she turned to robin, "sit down."

"oh, yes!" robin quickly went to go sit down at a table.

'it's never enough' stared to play.
