The camera flashes in my face. "Please turn to the right" "Emma this has to be a joke I did not kill Kathryn," I say turning.
"Of course, you didn't but while I am your friend I am also the sheriff and I have to go where the evidence leads" she states.
"Which points to me," I ask. "Yesterday it was David there's something going on here" I state.
"I know but your fingerprints are on that box and his are not" "what the fuck" I exclaim.
"Evidence that says I cut out Kathryn's heart DO YOU KNOW HOW INSANE THAT SOUNDS" I yell.
"If I don't book you with all this evidence it's gonna look like favoritism and Regina will have cause and she will fire me and then you know what she'll do she'll bring in someone who will railroad you so please try to be patient and trust me," she asks.
"We can't even move forward until we know it belonged to Kathryn" "and if it doesn't it'll still look like I fucking killed someone," I say freaking out.
"I know but can you please bare with me I have to ask you a few questions" I nod.
We walk into the interrogation room and see my mom.
"Oh, hell no" "hello darling," she says sweetly.
"Seriously" "she asked to be here as a third party to make sure that I stay impartial it can only help you" she states.
"I have nothing to hide I literally can not keep a secret" I admit.
"You know like when I was 10 and I stole a toy out of the store and asked me where I got it from and I said a friend gave it to me even though I was homeschooled up till then," I tell my mom.
"Ask me whatever so I can go home and have some peace" I state.
She presses a button on the recorder.
"The heart was found buried near the old toll bridge and it has been cut out by what appears to be a hunting knife have you ever been to that bridge before"
"Yes, multiple times as a teen and it's where Mr. Nolan and I liked to meet" "David Nolan," she asks.
"Yes," I answer.
"And you met there for what purpose," she asks going to get something behind me.
"We were having an affair" I admit.
"I admit I'm not proud of it and I'm sorry" I state.
"But that does not change the fact that I didn't kill Kathryn," I say sternly.
She places my music box on the table.
"Have you ever seen this before" "ya it's my music box why?" I ask her confused.
"That's what we found the heart in" my mouth parts in shock.
"Can't you see what's happening someone stole that box and put the heart in it I didn't have anything to do with it I'm innocent" I tell them
"Stella it's okay" she places a hand on mine and I look at my mom.
"I know what you're going through I know what it's like to lose someone you love to be publicly humiliated put me in a very dark place changed me" "for the worst I presume," I say pulling my hand back.
"I can only imagine what losing David Nolan did to you" "nothing it did absolutely nothing" I state.
"I'm still the same bitchy stubborn annoying very short for her age young woman you so-called raised" I shout.
