Meanwhile Goob and Doris showed up to a building the box with he parts for the memory scanner in his hand. He went up to the front desk saying he was going to change the future and he must speak with the man in charge right away. And said he had an appointment with destiny. She asked him what time his appointment was at. He said 2:00 which was the time that it was right now. You're Mary Johnson? She asked him. Yes Mary is short for.... Marian? She asked him. Can that be a boy's name? He asked her. Yes she told him. Then yes he agreed as he sat down and waited for the boss in charge to be ready for him. He got out his checklist. Pass off invention as my own he said with a check next to his list. I love checklists he said more to himself. The board will see you now. The front desk lady told him. He stood up with a smile on his face then frowned.

What am I going to say? He hadn't thought it all through. Didn't think he'd actually make it this far. Doris said something to him only he could understand but then he frowned and said he'd never remember that. And asked her to do it for him. That she does it so much better than him. Then she took one of her clawed fingers and scratched his head. You're right a hat without a head couldn't really pass off an invention as it's own he decided with a frown again. But then she came up with an idea to help him. She went outside with a sign he peeked in reading the sign it read "prepare to be amazed" so he thought of an idea. He made a grand entrance with box in hand. Prepare to be amazed! He announced to the board members. There was one guy sitting in a big chair at the head of the table obviously the man in charge. I doubt any one of you have seen anything like it before he read and stuttered out loud as he set the newly built machine on the table.

The guy in charge said he had two mins. He put on the table all the board members oohed and ahhed at it. Thought it was shiny asked what it was. I like to call it my.... To call it my.... He stuttered trying to read what Doris's sign said. What are you looking at? He asked him. Sun in my eyes. Then let me close the blinds. Now the name. He thought they could talk names at a later date since he had no idea what Lewis and I called it. The point is it's very special and unique and that he should love it and buy it and mass produce it and the best part is it's got really comfy headphones he reached forward to put it on the guy's head. Made him lean forward since the machine didn't reach that far. As he agreed with the headphones part. I remember this guy from the montage when we were building it the laser had gone through his ears it had been measured to fit him in the first place. What do you hope to accomplish with this device? He said nothing of consequence just to crush the dreams of an orphan boy and his friend but other than that it was fuzzy.

He was shot forward across the table. Now where do I sign? He asked before he tossed out. Watch out! He read slowly on the sign Doris was holding but he wasn't fast enough the box was tossed at him. He thought they had failed and then Doris said something else to him. And he agreed that success was still for the taking that all they needed to was find us. Speaking of us we dragged the time machine and my time machine back to the garage. Wilbur said we'd have all the pieces and tools we'd need to fix them both. As my sister very much knows. Fine but if we're gonna fix them we're gonna need some blueprints or something. What about your parents? Lewis asked us. Well mom never goes down to the garage. I started. And dad's on a business trip till tomorrow morning (the fact that this whole movie takes place in one day for the most part) *because they don't see adult Lewis till the end of the film* of course he is I crossed my arms kicking a rock. What else is new?! I pouted.

He's gonna be happy to see you Farr's just like everyone else. Not if they don't know I'm here. And they will never need to know not until after I see dad as he was. What why not? Wilber asked. Because if they find out I'm back mom will ground me till I'm her age. No way they'll be happy to see that you're back at all. Promise me Wilbur. I wag my finger at him. He stopped again. I bit my lip to keep myself from continuing to smile. Thunder he started. Lighting I said with him there were sounds of thunder and strikes of lighting as our rings clashed. I fanned him off. Are we good? For now. Why are you lightning? He asked. Because I'm flashy and sparks always fly when I touch something. And he's thunder cause normally he's the voice of reason.
