A Mist of Our Mythologies
AUTHOR'S NOTE
This collection of poems is a map, a journey somewhere spectacular. Every time we venture, try refreshing skills to learn, and explore the world in one seating - this is how I did it for the present summer, by writing words inspired by different mythologies. I've ventured into each of their stories, walking through the details, the happy endings, the tragedies, and the bittersweet haze.
In the midst of a misty morning goes a million ideas that turn into scenarios and into stories to tell others. A Mist of Our Mythologies aims to relate to the thoughts of readers, connect with the poems that circle with their current situation, and deliver an impactful message with the use of limited words. During the moments I was in the process of crafting these, I was heavily influenced by the tales we were taught in History class. They can be true or fictional, but the lessons and values that came along with them are applicable in the society we thrive in.
Individually, we face the day with either a smile or a frown. And sleep through the night with either the same or brand new expression... all for the same reason, because here's another one. Here's another day to love and to be loved, or to hurt and to be hurt. However, we all have one thing to remember and that is:
Whenever you don't see what's behind the mist, it's just the moon or the sun - whichever of the two it is, a light so bright is ahead of you.
