When I woke up agad akong napatingin sa small digital clock ni Shia sa bedside drawer niya. It was already eight-thirty in the evening.
Ramdam ko yung sakit ng ulo ko at nung gitna ko kaya agad akong tumayo para lumabas ng kwarto, naabutan ko rin si Shia na nanonood ng movie sa netflix.
Napalingon siya sakin at tipid akong nginitian, "Good eve, babes! Pumunta rito si kuya kanina nagdala ng pagkain, nagluto siya kasi anniversary nila nung girlfriend niya."
Pumunta ako sa lamesa para tignan kung ano yung pagkain. It was spaghetti, may cake rin na Sansrival. Sa pagkakaalala ko mahilig si Shia at yung kuya niya sa spaghetti, yun ang madalas nila ihanda.
Pumunta muna ako ng banyo para maligo, I had to take a warm bath to alleviate the pain I was feeling in my middle, after I did my routine, bumalik agad ako sa hapag para kumain.
Napatingin ako kay Shia na umupo sa tabi ko, kinuha niya kung nasan nakalagay yung Sansrival, dalawang slice pa kasi yun kaya baka inantay niya ako bago kainin yun.
"Shia," I called her. "Mukha kang may sasabihin saakin, ano yun?"
Nakita ko kung paano siya nagulat, it was like she was shocked that I read her mind.
"Do you remember the guy I was with nung nagkita tayo sa mall?"
"Yeah, why?" I asked while eating the spaghetti that was in front of me.
"He keeps on bothering me! It's so annoying, gosh," Natawa naman ako dahil dun.
"Nakahanap ka ng katapat mo." I stated, I heard her whine in annoyance.
"Change topic!" She said as she took a big bite of the Sansrival cake. "Hindi ka makakatakas saakin, I need full deets!"
Napasinghap ako bago tumayo at kumuha ng tubig at tinidor before I sat back down, humingi ako ng cake sakanya bago ako nagsalita.
"He has good stamina," I said, napatingin ako sakanya na seryosong nakikinig sakin. "He's you know.." Napaubo ako para magets niya ang ibig kong sabihin.
Malakas siyang tumawa bago niya ko sabihan na tinuloy ko.
"He's for sure experienced! Girl, I can't count how many rounds we had.." Shia laughed loudly, muntikan pa siya mabilaukan sa sobrang kakatawa niya! Natawa rin tuloy ako!
We talked about random things before we cleaned the table and went to the living room to watch movies. Nung nag midnight na ay nagulat kami ng biglang nagtext yung kuya ni Shia sakanya.
After a few minutes, nakarinig nalang kami ng katok sa pinto.
"Hey," His brother greeted her, napatingin din ito saakin and gave me a small nod, so I did the same. "Hera made cookies and sabi niya bigyan ko raw kayo."
"Oh! Tell ate Hera we said thank you!" Saad ni Shia. He placed a small kiss on top of Shia's head and gave me a small smile before he left. After Shia locked the door, we continued eating the cookies, it's delicious.
"Can I stay here for a while?"
"Girl, you can stay here as long as you want, di mo na kailangan mag paalam."
Sa sobrang bored namin ni Shia ay sinet up namin yung karaoke sa TV niya, pwede kasi mag karaoke sa TV niya. Madaling araw na kaya hindi namin masyadong nilakasan.
I never really sing when there's people around so this would be the first time Shia will hear me sing. I don't think kasi that I'm good at it. It's just something I do when i'm bored.
Shia picked a song first kaya siya naunang kumanta, she was sing Get You by Daniel Caesar. Her voice sounded sweet.. It sounded like she really owns the song. Her voice was a bit higher than mine, it was melodic.
"Who would of thought I'd get you.." She sang, I sang along with him with a small voice, not letting her hear. When she finished singing she gave me the other microphone like she was in a hurry.
I glanced at her and she looked like she was saying that I should sing because she wanted to hear me. When I looked to the screen, La La Lost you by NIKI was going to be play next.
My eyes widened, it was one of my favourite songs. I took a deep breath before I parted my lips to sing.
"While I'm on Sunset, are you on the subway?" I sang, I glanced at Shia whose lips were parted, she looked like she was shocked. "While I drive, are you gettin' on the L-train?"
I continued to sing already feeling the song, I was tapping my foot on the floor. I felt like I was owning the song when I started to close my eyes to feel it more.
"All my demons run wild.. All my demons have your smile.." I heard Shia sing with me and I smiled at looked at her. "In the city of angels.. in the city of angels," We sang.
We continued seeing multiple songs, we even sang Beer by Itchyworms!
"Giliw, 'wag mo sanang limutin.. Ang mga araw na hindi sana naglaho,"
"Oh! Oh! Sisig sa Table 7!" Saad ni Shia kaya natawa ako, gaga talaga 'to!
"Mga anak at bahay nating pinaplano," She continued.
"Lahat ng ito'y nawala no'ng iniwan mo 'ko!" We sang together and laughed so hard after.
It was 4 in the morning when we decided to sleep, pareho na rin kaming hikab nang hikab. Feeling ko rin ay mapapaos ako dahil sa dami naming kinanta! Muntikan na nga ako mawalan ng boses nung.. bakit ko iniisip yun?!
Nauna naghilamos si Shia at sumunod ako. May binigay siya saaking baby pink na silk night dress. Tumabi ako sakanya pagkatapos ko magbihis. Kasyang kasya naman kami sa kama niya, sa totoo lang ang laki pa nga nung space kasi hindi naman kami magulo ni Shia matulog.
Even though minsan makulit ako lalo na kapag pagod or kapag gising pa ako dahil hindi ko mahanap yung tamang pwesto ko. Hirap kasi ako makatulog kaya kailangan ay pagod na pagod mata o katawan ko para makatulog ako agad.
"Goodnight, Lai. Love you." Shia said with her sleepy voice.
"Goodnight, Lau. Love you too," I said before closing my eyes.
