Keith starts to show galran features. Already feeling terrible about his heritage, he freaks out and then comfort ensues.

Little: Keith
Cg: Lance

....

Keith should have known something was off the morning before when he was feeling nauseas and achy. But he always fought through any kind of problem, and ignored it. So it was no surprise he let it get this bad.

Lance had stormed into his room about two hours ago before demanding Keith tell him what was wrong. Lance always could tell when something was up with his boyfriend despite the red paladins effort to hide his problems. Keith had tried to convince Lance that there was nothing wrong, but the older boy had eventually figured out the ravenette was sick and insisted on taking care of him.

Keith was currently hunched over the bathroom toilet as Lance held his hair back and rubbed his back. Keith groaned as he had let everything out and was now dry heaving. He hated being sick, especially now that Lance was here and he couldn't hide his vulnerabilities away from the brunette. Well,, he was glad Lance was there for company, just not that he saw the illness. "It's okay. You're okay. You're doing so good Keith." Lance comforted as Keith leaned back against the blue paladins chest when he realized he was done. He snuggled closer to the taller boy as his headache started throbbing worse. He squeezed his eyes shut and groaned again. His head ached so bad. Lance wrapped his arms around Keith as started to stroke his hair. It helped slightly to ease the pain from his head.

"Ready to go back to the bed?" Lance asked after a few moments. Keith nodded as Lance stood up helping to guide Keith with him. Keith stumbled up and leaned heavily against Lance for support. His head throbbed at the sudden movement and he cried slightly in pain. Lance shushed him as he pulled him slightly forward to move. Keith gasped abruptly as he pulled away from Lance and sinked to the floor to hold his ears, eyes squeezed shut tight in pain. Lance rushed down to his side to ask what was wrong, but Keith shook his head. Lances voice was so loud. Keith knew his voice was low and soft, but it sounded as if Lance was yelling at him.

"...Keith? Buddy?" Lance asked voice soaked in concern. Keith shook his head again. "Too...loud.." he managed to mumble out. Lances eyebrows furrowed in concern as he rested a hand on Keith's shoulder. Keith flinched slightly at the sudden contact but quickly relaxed when he realized it was just Lance.

Lance didn't know what to do. Keith's breathing was uneven and ragged and he was rocking back in forth in a concerning manner. He didn't want to talk in fear of worsening the boys state. Keith had said it was too loud, but why? Lance had also talked in a hushed voice. It shouldn't have been too loud. This sickness seemed much worse then he had originally thought. Should he take Keith to Coran? A pod? He should, shouldn't he?

He moved to try and pick the boy up (seeing as Keith couldn't walk at the moment), but the boy pulled away from his hold, and shook his head again. "Lance, no. No. Hurts. Somethings wrong." He rambled out breathing heavily. Lance realized the boy was starting to panic. Great. Just what they needed at the moment. How was he suppose to talk the boy through breathing methods if his voice made him panic worse? Lance but his lip, forcing his own tears back. He didn't know what to do. He didn't know how to help. He was failing Keith. They were suppose to help each other through times like this, but he didn't know what to do to make it better.

"Laaaaancee?" Keith drawled out as his grip around his ears tightened. Lance glanced at that worriedly. He was going to hurt himself. The blue Paladin gently took the ravenettes hands in his and began to pry his hands off his ears. Keith whined in protest but eventually let go. Lance gasped at what he saw. How....?

He knew the other boy was half galra, but this? This was weird. He'd never shown any signs of having Galran features really. So what was this?

"Laaance? W'as wrong?" Keith asked as he opened his eyes to meet Lances horrified gaze. Lances eyes widened further when he saw Keith's violet eyes.

Except they weren't purple anymore. They were a glowing yellow. No purple or nothing. Just yellow. "Lance?" Keith asked, voice more scared now as he took in Lances expression.

"Keith you- what?" Keith flinched slightly at Lances voice, but didn't tell him to stop talking. Maybe it was a little better? "Me what?" The red Paladin asked confused. Lance realized the boy had also somehow formed fangs.

"Okay... don't freak out. This is going to be fine, right? But uh— here come to the mirror real quick." He helped the boy up with little protest as placed him facing from the mirror. Keith froze as he saw his reflection. His eyes widened. He stared for a moment longer before making a choked sound and backing up. He stumbled back into Lance and then turned around abruptly to face him. Lances heart ached at the terrified expression on Keith. Keith cried out as he closed in on himself, backing up until he hit a wall and sliding down it. He pulled his knees up and buried his face into them, arms wrapping around himself. He started shaking violently.

Lance moved after him and grabbed his shoulder. Keith slapped his arm away. "No! No nonono. Go away. Go. I-I-... I dunno why... I no kno why.... 'm sorry..!" He started to sob as he dug his new claws into his skin. Lance pulled them away when he saw. He enveloped Keith's hands in his larger ones— Lance noticed that the boys skin was slowly turning a pale purple. He wondered if fur was growing anywhere too— The boy tried to pull away, but Lance didn't let him. He knew the boy had involuntarily slipped into little space.

"Hey hey it's going to be okay. I'm here baby. I've got you. We're going to figure this out, okay? Can you look at me Cariño?" Lance whispered softly as he rubbed his thumb soothingly against the boys skin. Keith choked on a sob as he hesitantly looked up. Lance moved one hand to cup the boys cheek. "There you go..." he started but Keith cut him off. "Why not scared? M disgusting. Monster."

Lance shook his head and leaned over to kiss the boys forehead. "Nuh uh. None of that baby. I don't know why or how this happened, but I do know that you are neither of those things. You're still Keith. Still my Keithy boy. This doesn't change anything hun. We knew you where part Galra, none of us were scared then, and were not gonna be now that you have the features to show it. Promise. I love you so much Keith." He said, voice clear and almost daring Keith to deny what he said. Keith looked down at his feet for a moment before looking back up at Lance.

"....even Lura?" He asked, voice weak and small. Lance hesitated for a moment. "Lura might be shocked for awhile, but she'll come around. I'm sure of it." Keith nodded. He made grabby hands and Lance smiled before pulling him into a hug. "Luv you toos Lancey Lance." He smiled into the boys neck. Lance rubbed the boys back and kissed his head.

"Hey Keithy? Can I... touch you're ears? It's okay if your uncomfy with it!" Lance asked after a moment. Keith paused, and thought for a moment. "Okay..." lance grinned before petting the boys ears gently, scratching behind his ears. He froze when he heard a deep rumble coming from the ravenette. His eyes lit up when he realized it was Keith purring. Purring!

"Oh my Quiznack that is adorable. You're so adorable Keith. I could get use to this."
