Chapter 3: Texting

Will goes excitedly to his house, without buying anything since he forgot.

He goes inside his house and yells "Y'ALL ARENT GONNA BELIEV-" but stops mid sentence since he saw something that made his jaw drop.

His bestfriends, Jane and Max, making out.

They both pull away quickly when they notice him, but its too late, Will already saw everything

"Uhh.. Hi.." Jane says, clearly embarrased.

"Eh- I um.. I'll leave, sorry" he says, walking away but he stops when Max yells something, " Wait! Dont leave, dumbass, its okay. "

"You sure..? I dont want to interrupt anything.. " he asks, and the redhead nods.

Will sits next to Max and he tells them both about what happened earlier.

" WHAT?! HE ASKED FOR YOUR NUMBER?"

"HOLY SHIT!"

"Did he text you already?"

" TEXT HIM! "

Will was attacked with a bunch of questions that he didnt know how to answer.

"Calm down! He didnt text me yet.." he says, and the girls groan.

"Why not?! He asked for your number! Why not text?" Max asks, and Will shrugs

"I dont know, maybe he's just shy.." he answers.

" You did WHAT?! " Dustin says

"Shh! I know, i shouldnt have asked for his number but- " Mike tries to explain but Dustin interrupts him, "-but you couldnt hold back your hormones and you did that!" he says.

"Shut up! "

"Im right and you know that!"

"WHATEVER, dont you have to go and talk to your virtual gf or something?" The ravenette says with a playful tone and Dustin rolls his eyes.

"Fuck you" He says, "I'll go to buy some things since you didnt buy anything."

Mike nodded, he will be using this time alone to talk to Will.

WILL'S POV

A WhatsApp notification pops up in my phone.

"Hmm?" I say, grabbing my phone.

'Hey, its me, Mike'

Holy shit, Mike! I totally forgot about him

'Oh, hi! Hru?'

'Im good, wbu?'

Gosh, this is awkward, how can i make this less... weird?

'Im fine'
'🐥'

What the hell, a chicken?! He's gonna think im weird!

'Cool.'

Why did that simple emoji made Will's heart flutter? No one knows, but it doesnt matter.

After that, they started talking about things that both liked, and woah, they had a lot in common.

They both liked Star Wars, Harry potter, Marvel, DC, and a lot of more things. Basically, they were both nerds.

'Hey, do you wanna go eat ice cream or something together?'

Oh wow, very confident Mike. This simple question made Will blush, so obviously he accepted without a second thought.

'Ofc! When are you available?'

'Tomorrow? At 3PM'

'Sure! Sounds good'

"Holy shit, i have a date!" Will thinks out loud, this day couldnt be better.
