topic: double standards in kpop
my opinion: there's so many double standards in kpop. basically, women are getting hate for things that men get praised for. i'll explain. for example, if a female idol were to have a blank face, we'll use jennie for example. she has a resting bitch face, and when she's not smiling, she's labeled as "rude" and "stuck up" oh, but when sehun is resting his face, he looks cold, but gets comments like "so handsome" and so on. (no hate towards sehun, just using him as an example. and that's not all. a guy can go completely shirtless on stage and get praised for it, but when a female has a revealing top, they get called "whores" and "pick me's" when a male rolls his eyes at a sasaeng (using haruto as an example because he did do this) he gets comments like "i would be mad too lol" or "he did the right thing" but you know damn well if jennie, or even yeri would've done the same they would've had comments like "they have attitude issues" like okay, say you're fucking sexist and move on. there's so many other things too. like if a women is confident, she gets hate for that. if a man is confident, he gets praised. if a female acts cute (wonyoung for example) she gets hate and gets called a pick me. if a male acts cute, he gets praised and called adorable. that's so annoying. and the people wanna say "well, women don't have to go to the military, men do, so quit your whining" (yes, someone really said this to me 💀) like yeah, that's right. but who do you think made that rule? MEN. and no, i'm not saying male idols don't get hate, because trust me, they do. but women get so much more hate for things that's are praised if men do it. like you know for a fact that if it were hyuka staring at yuna that one time instead of it being yuna, he wouldn't have gotten nearly the amount of hate that she did. literally leave these women alone. kpop has so many double standards and it pisses me off. get a fucking life netizens
