We cut to the inside of a car, the radio is on, And you know what it's about? You guessed it! Dinosaurs.

"Dinosaurs are in our world and with every confrontation, we learn more about this frightening reality. How did we get here? It's been three decades since the deadly events of Jurassic Park and we've yet to find a way for these animals to live safely among us. After the devastating eruption of a long-dormant volcano, those who survived were transported to the mainland. Many of the larger predators were captured. But the remaining creatures are scattered here in Big Rock National Park While most remained in the wild, those who made their way to civilization struggle to adapt to unfamiliar conditions. Local authorities have warned that animals are unpredictable and when hungry, extremely violent. As the dinosaurs spread across borders, a global black market has risen. To combat the growing threat of illegal poachers, the US Congress awards sole collection rights to the global giant, Biosyn Genetics."

A person just out of view sighs in annoyance and turns off the radio, turning off the radio. The car they're all in pulls up to a farm, a large hole in the barn door.  The farm owner is standing nearby, the figure steps out of their car in awe.

"Thanks for coming. Wasn't sure who to call. Missing well, I didn't even want to report it if it wasn't a dinosaur." The farm owner muttered in annoyance.
"Yeah, well, they get all the atten-"

The owner of the car and not only voice steps onto the ladder of a nearby tractor, taking their glasses off in awe. Doctor Ellie Sattler's jaw dropped, and she took off her glasses.
"They hit 60 fields in the county. Have you seen anything like this before?"
"No, not like this. They've been leaving degraded fields all across the Midwest. First, these big companies try to kill off all the insects. Now, this."

Ellie Sattler was once a Paleobotonist who was recruited by John Hammond to safe-test his theme park.  When the park went under due to sabotage in the ranks Ellie, alongside six others was some of the only survivors to escape Islar Nublar with their lives. She and her old partner at the time split up afterwards, however, she got married and now works as a college professor.

Ellie looked at the bloodstained field and notices a herd of cattle in the distance.
"Is that your cattle?" She asked, pointing at the small population of life
"That's the Bennett's field. The bastards didn't eat that."
"Do you buy from the same auction as the Bennetts?"
"No. We are independent. They use Biosyn livestock."
Ellie grimaced.
"Yeah, I bet they do. You say you caught a live one?"

Utah

We then see a dig site as a shadowy figure walks toward the dig. They take off their hat, wiping some sweat from their Forehead, Doctor Alan Grant smiles warmly at the hot sun. We then hear him speaking to some new workers as we see current workers digging up fossils.
"Why do we dig? Because palaeontology is science and science is about the truth and there is truth in these rocks."
We see a worker on a high ridge. Looking down at him.

"Grant! You're going to want to see this!"

Alan Grant is an archaeologist who was recruited by John Hammond to safe-test his theme park. When the park went under due to sabotage in the ranks Alan, alongside six others was some of the only survivors to escape Islar Nublar with their lives. He and his old partner at the time split up afterwards, He never married and still works as an archaeologist.

Grant sighs, annoyed his lecture was interrupted. He cupped his hands over his eyes to avoid the sun from blinding him as he looked upwards at the worker.

"Billy, I'm in the middle of something." He shouted back.
"Sorry Doctor Grant but you're gonna wanna see this!" Billy called.

He excuses himself, allowing one of the other workers to take his place. He is then seen heading to his tent in a wide valley. Grant mutters under his breath.

"Alright, What's the big idea-" Grant stopped, his eyes widened.
"Ellie Sattler.."
"Alan Grant, you look the same. And this place, it's so you in this place. So do you." His old friend smiled widely at him,

Grant cleared his throat, moving into the tent
"I-I'm sorry, I didn't know you were coming over to uh- Can I get you something- a beer?"
"Um, maybe not at 10 AM but iced tea or-"
"Tea, yeah. Tea, I can do that."

We cut to later as Alan is making tea and Ellie is looking around the tent
"Saw a lot of tourists on the way in."

Grant sighed
"All the funding's dried up so somebody's gotta pay for all this." He smiled softly, handing her the tea
"Thank you."
"I read your articles about soil science and regenerative farming. They're good."
"Thanks."
"Give ya grounds for some hope for change. How are your kids?"
"Amazing! Grown! it's amazing. They're both in college. can you believe that?!"
"And, uh- Mark..?"
Ellie shrugged.

"It's over."
Grant smiled brightly on the inside. However, he had some decency not to show his joy.

"Oh. Oh, I'm sorry to hear it."
"It's okay. I'm back to me, my work. You know, it's-"
"That's great."
"It's good. It is. I'm alone at last."
"Exciting times."
"Yeah, I'm living the Alan Grant life. It's just-"
"It can be lonely."
"So free!"

Grant cleared his throat, leaning against a cabinet.
"Ellie, You didn't come out all this way just to catch up now, did you?"

Ellie nodded, placing her bag on the table. She opened it and pulled the captive beast out of it. The small Archaeopteryx was held in a glass pet carrier. Grant gasped in surprise, placing his glasses high on his nose, he sat down, examining the creature.

"Well it's a Archaeopteryx, Three Claws on each limb, wings, feathers but God, it's angry."
"They show traits and behaviors similar to that of Rage Syndrome in Dogs. They've been eating all of the livestock from Iowa to Texas. Terrifying, right? Started as a few hundred. There could be millions by the end of the summer. If they keep going, there will be no chickens, sheep, pigs, goats, horses, ducks, turkeys, cattle- nothing. and the entire meat market will collapse."
"Well it was clearly designed but why would anyone do that?"
"None of the animals they're eating are Biosyn created."

Grant raised an eyebrow

"Biosyn? you're saying Biosyn made this?"
"I mean, it would not shock me that they want to control the world's food supply."
"Not before a few million starve."
"What was that saying? "Three meals away from anarchy". If we don't stop them, you can pick your last three meals."

Grant sighed, confused.
"So why are you bringing it to me...?"
"I need concrete evidence that Biosyn is responsible for all this. I need to go to their sanctuary and get DNA from another Archaeopteryx there. But I need a witness." Ellie Pleaded.
Grant tutted, shaking his head. But Ellie refused to let him walk out of this one.
"Alan, you command respect. People believe you!"

Grant stood up, pinching his nose.
"Ellie, you know Why I'm here? It's quiet. I'm done with all that."

Ellie was quick to rebuttal
"Are you? okay. well, I'm sorry, Alan. Nobody gets that kinda luxury anymore. Not even you. and you know what? your one I trust"

Grant grunted.
"This Biosyn sanctuary is what? one hundred miles from anywhere? How do you even get in there?"

Ellie smirked, taking a book out of her pocket and placing a heavy book on Grant's work desk.

"I got an invite from their in-house philosopher, Seems there's a lot of money in being a chaotician these days."

Grant grimaced as he looked at the face of the author.

"And he just happened to invite you out of the Blue?
"He said there were things I'd want to see."
"Uh-huh.

Ellie placed the book back into her back and is about to leave but turns to Grant.

"...You coming or what..?"

Grant placed his old hat back on, giving a grin to his old partner.
