How are you not tired yet?" said Striker. We have been sparring for almost an hour. I was a little tired, but I can handle a few more minutes.
"Fine, we'll stop. I have to get ready for my cousin's party." I took off my gloves and put them away.
"You're not going to invite any of us?" He sounded a little upset. I wasn't going to invite them. I asked Hunter to look for any of my relatives. All I found was my aunt. My mom's sister had a kid who is now my cousin. He was turning 12, and I didn't plan on missing it.
"No, I wasn't. I'm not a little kid anymore." I sipped my water and waited for his response. He seemed worried. "There aren't any threats these days. I will be fine."
"Your 18, I trust you, but I just want you to be safe." I smiled at the fact that he was worried.
"I will be fine." I smiled and kissed him on his forehead, and went to shower. I decided to wear white ripped jeans, a grey shirt, and some black block heel ankle boots. I grabbed my leather jacket, keys, phone, and cash. I was ready to leave my room, but Charmer stopped me.
"Going somewhere?" He has a smile on his face. I was beginning to get frustrated. I am old enough to go my own way. I needed to get distracted for once in my life.
"Yes, and you're getting in my way." I smiled back and pushed him out the way. He quickly grabbed my hand, which stopped me from walking.
"I just wanted to tell you to be careful and give me a call if you need help." I nodded. He let me go from his grasp, and I headed to my car. They got me a car for my birthday. I learned how to drive five years ago when I was 13. I entered the 2020 black dodge challenger and started the car.

I made it to an apartment. I knocked on the wooden door. I heard a scream saying, come in. I walked in to see males everywhere. I had no clue his family was just a bunch of boys. I then saw a boy sitting next to two girls and my cousin. I could tell one of the girls was trying to get the boy's attention. She was barely covering her parts. I knew the boy was my cousin's friend because he had told me. The boy looked attractive. He had a hat on, so I couldn't see much. We made eye contact, and he smiled at me.
"Katherine!!" My cousin hopped up and hugged me. He seemed very happy. I thanked God that he snapped me back to reality.
"Hey, you got good taste," I told him he has good taste because there was the girl he had a crush on. He playfully punched me. I know I was acting like an embarrassing sister, but the truth was I always thought of him as a brother.
I went and took a seat in a corner. I asked for a Smirnoff margarita. Yes, I was too young but, I knew my limits. I only drink two because it didn't get me drunk. I then finished eating and sat on the couch. The only reason I was here was because of my cousin. If not, I would probably still be sparring with Striker.
Striker was also known as Sam. His name came from his talent, which was begging able to strike without anybody sensing him.
I began thinking about the 19-year-old. I didn't know his name, so I just called him by his age. Something about him got my attention. About an hour passed, and my Aunt called me.
"Ve a bailar con alguien, deja de sentarte aquí" said my Aunt. She was telling me to go dance and to stop sitting. I liked dancing but I needed the right partner.
"No, gracias, no hay nadie con quien pueda bailar." I told her there is nobody I can dance with. She walked away and came back with the 19-year-old. I am going to admit that I got very nervous.
"Baila con el." said my Aunt with a big smile on her face. I couldn't say no to her. I got up and he took me to the center of the room.
His hands felt so light to the touch while my hands felt heavy. I was embarrassed and avoided eye contact the whole time. I could hear plenty of people whistle and clap. All eyes were on us. He wasn't a bad dancer and shocked me. A lot of people didn't know how to do this choreography. I could see the girl get so angry that he was dancing with me. Was she his girlfriend? If she was, I'm sorry.
After dancing I sat on the couch for a while longer until my cousin ran in my direction.
"KATHERINE!! There is a big bug outside!" Oh, come on. A big bug? I got up and headed outside. There was nothing but the 19-year-old, that one girl, and my cousin's crush. They got me near him, and I felt my heart stop. He smiled at me. I got nervous, so I just went back inside. My cousin ran after me.
"Wasn't funny," I walked near his mom. I wasn't going to snitch. I was saying goodbye.
"Adiós tía, gracias por invitarme." We were Hispanic. She understood English, but not completely.
"¿Ya te vas?"
"Sí, tengo cosas que hacer." She didn't want me to leave, but I just didn't want to be here anymore. I left the apartment to see the 19-year-old outside. I could sense him looking at me as I drove away.
