It Could Still Be Love

Chapter 3: This wasn't supposed to happen

"Alright here we go" A figure in all black helps another in a tree. "See I told you guys it's not that hard to get in a tree with some help" The jacketed one says 

The one that just got help in the tree sighed "It's easy for you, you always  climb trees and shit all the time"

"Guys just hurry up please" the last one said still on the ground

"Fine," The one in the one in the tree pulls up the open in all black then the last they bring out their binoculars and sees the unthinkable. 

Lena was yelling at Marky and Casey while crying.

-------------------------------------An hour ago-------------------------------------

Casey, Lena and Marky were just having a good time Marky was a little distant not wanting to get in the way of them being cute, staying close but not enough to make them uncomfortable. 

"Hey wanna watch a movie" Casey asked randomly while playing uno which Casey was almost about to win but changed the subject for some reason.

"I mean yeah sure I can get some popcorn if you want me too" Lena said putting her cards down showing they had a blue 7, a yellow 3, 5 green, a plus 2 in yellow, 4+ wild card, and a 7 of green. 

"Sure why not" Marky put up their card just as Lena leaves.

"Hey Marky..." Casey askes slowly for some reason 

"Yeah" Marky askes with concerns see as casey never acts this way normally unless something is wrong

"Uhhh- Nevermind can you get the blankets"Casey asks looking back up at Marky and fixing their glasses so the glare and you can't see their eyes.

"Hmmm, if you say, so" Marky wakes out to get the blankets while Casey starts to clean up the rest of Uno. Lena wakes back in with popcorn with Marky coming right after they set it up and put in All The Bright Places and sat down to watch while Lena and Casey cuddled with Marky off to the side a little jealous but trying to focus on the movie.

About halfway through the movie Lena fell asleep thanks to the warmth. Casey looked over to Marky who was lookin like a hurt puppy while looking forward at the movie but not really seeing what's happening.

"Hey, Marky you ok, you've been acting weird all day and I was getting a bit worried about you" Casey said in a whisper hoping not to wake Lena up even though they stirred a little bit.

"Yeah, I'm fine" Marky was showing no emotion just looking at the tv not paying a passing glance to either of them.

"You don't seem fine, you doing ok" Casey asked again putting a hand on Marky shoulder and Marky immediately throwing their hand off, this caused Casey to jerk back a little bit causing Lena to wake up and growl at them both for waking her up. She then stood up and walked out saying they had to use the bathroom. 

"Well, they're gonna be mad or a while" Casey said looking at the door.

"Mhm" Marky said not looking away from the tv still eyes locked on a specific scene Casey favorite that Marky was watching with a smile. Casey smiled at that and just sat next to them and watched with them. Lena soon came into the room and immediately past out on Casey once again.

Casey let out a little chuckle and leaned on Marky.

"What are you doing" Marky asked finally looking away from the tv after so long that his eyes hurt.

"Leaning on you, why?" Casey said looking down a little at Marky and adjusting their glasses again. 

"Oh, you just don't usually do that" Marky said looking back at  the screen with a blush Casey just sat up and bit more making Lena growl at them again. 

"Marky I'm sorry if we ignore you, I didn't mean too and I know Lena didn't either" Casey looked at him and just stared until their eyes met and they stayed like that for what felt like forever but was only about a minute or two. "Can you forgive us for doing that to you I understand if you want space and everything I just wanted to say I'm sorry I didn't realize you though we were ignoring you" 

"Why does she have to been this sincere with all her apologies" Marky though

"Look Casey it's not your fault you didn't know and I didn't tell you anything about how I elt till now" Marky looked down at their hand and started to fiddle with their hands while Casey messed with her chain.

"Is there anything I can do to make it up to you" Casey said quietly not looking at Marky still feeling guilty

"Uhhhh I mean-" Marky looked over at Casey just messing around with her chain and they just looked perfect a sweet lovable nerd that Marky loved for about a year now it was almost the perfect moment expect he forgot that Lena was sitting right next to Casey no longer sleeping but listening to everything that was happening

Marky grabbed Casey face and kissed her it didn't last that long before Lena shot up and grabbed Casey back, Marky makin the realization that they not only kissed someone without consent that has a partner but they kissed someone without consent with said partner right next to then.

"Marky what the fuck Is wrong with you!" Lena said standing up with Casey still on the ground not knowing what to do after that, the kiss wasn't exactly unwelcomed and probably would have continued if Lena didn't step in.

"I'm sorry it was a moment thing I didn't actually think that I could even do that even if I thought about it before right now" Marky said trying to defend themselves but just making it worse

"You've thought of this before!" Casey said from behind Lena looking shocked about what had happened 

"Oh it's not like you didn't lean in before Lena pulled you back!" Marky yelled right back now making this an argument. Lena froze and looked back at Casey.

"What, Casey you didn't right?"Lena said looking like she had tears in her eyes, that broke both their hearts if Lena was actually crying then they definitely did something wrong and messed up enough.

"I mean-"Casey started 

"SERIOUSLY CASEY, YOU GOTTA BE KIDDING ME" Lena had started actually crying at this point 

"Ok wait this isn't what I meant by the kiss it was just an apology" Marky said try to calm the situation down. Lena turned around and gave him a death glare, he didn't have much to say after that.

"Lena, Love, I swear I still love you ok" Casey said getting up and trying to reach for Lena's shoulder but Lena just knocks her hand away and books it for the door running out of the house leaving everything in the room.

Casey looked back at Marky who was now standing up and looking shocked

"This is your fault you know that" Casey said then ran after Lena hoping to fix this situation with a talk. Marky left all alone hurt, shocked, and guilty having to deal with the consequences of their own actions by themselves just like always
