Chapter 3.

-School the next day-

Will's Pov- When I woke up the next day, I was quite tired and didn't want to leave my bed, but I did anyway because I wanted to see Mike at school. School was never my favorite place, I've always gotten bullied there, and I'm not even that smart, but everyone thinks I am because I apparently look like a nerd.

I wanted to look good for Mike, so I needed a cute outfit, but not too cute because then people would think I'm a fag, which I am but no one else needs to know that, I then found a light blue polo shirt that was shoved in the back of my draws, I grabbed that and put it on and then paired it with some light brown shorts, I then went to the bathroom to do my hair in the styler that its usually in,. After I had gotten dressed, I sat down at the table in the kitchen which had some eggs and bacon waiting for me, I was then greeted by my mother who seemed quite happy "morning sweat heart, how did you sleep?" she asked in a cheery voice "good thanks" I replied, I actually didn't sleep well though, I tend to lie about things like that, I don't want to cause any trouble and I definitely don't want to be treated like I'm gonna break or something cause that's how I used to be treated, and it made me feel like shit. After I ate my breakfast I packed my bag with my pencils and my pens, I also shoved my diary in it as well, I usually brag my diary to school it helps me when I feel like in going to die or something, I then ran out the door saying bye to my mother and grabbed my bike off the ground and road down the road until I got to school.

-At school-

Mike's Pov- after I got ready and ate my breakfast I rode my bike to school, I was excited to see Will so I rushed to get there, when I had gotten there, I put my bike at the bike rack and waited for Will. After around 5 minutes of waiting Dustin and Lucas showed up, "Hey Mike, who you waiting for" Dustin then asked me, "oh I'm just waiting for Will" I replied "oh, so you're not waiting for us" Lucas then said sarcastically, "no, I'm not Lucas" I then said back hoping to annoy him, which I did, Lucas and Dustin then walked off into the school while I still waited for Will. After another 5 minutes of waiting Will then showed up, after he put his bike on the rack, I gave him a tight hug "I missed you" I then whispered into his ear, still hugging him, "I missed you too" he then replied, as I pulled away from the hug, I then realized he was wearing the cutest outfit, he was wearing this blue polo shirt that was tucked into his little brown high waisted shorts, he looked so adorable.

We then walked together into the school, side by side, the halls weren't too crowded in the mornings, so it was easy to get around. We then parted to put our bags in our lockers that were opposite each other on each side of the hall. While I was putting my stuff away, I noticed that Troy, the school bully was talking to Will, probably just bully him again, I then left my locker to get Will from Troy.

Will's Pov- While I was putting my stuff away in my locker, I noticed that Troy and his friends were walking towards me, probably to bully me again, this happens on a daily basis so I'm kinda used to it by now. I then left my thoughts when Troy started talking to me, "hey Byers, where's your little faggot boyfriend today" he then said, I didn't reply, I usually don't reply to Troy when he talks to me unless he forces it out of me, "I asked you a fucking question now answer me fag" Troy said nearly yelling it, "I don't know" I said basically whispering it, Troy then shoved me into the locker, which hurt my back a lot, Mike then walked over and pulled Troy off me, "Leave him the fuck alone" Mike yelled at Troy which got everyone in the halls attention, "aww you finally came to protect your boyfriend" Troy then said back to Mike, Mike looked like he wanted to fucking kill him, Mike then got pushed to the floor by Troy then got kicked in the stomach a few times by Troy, I just stood there and watched, I couldn't do anything, and even if I could I would get beat up too, I was yelling at Troy to stop but I knew he wouldn't, I couldn't do anything to help. After Troy got bored of beating Mike, he just walked off like nothing happened, Mike layed there on the floor in pain, I tried to help him up but I was too weak, I then called for a teacher to help him get to the school nurse.

-Later that day- (cafeteria/ lunch)

Mike's Pov- As I walked into the cafeteria lots of people were staring at me, was it because of the fight with me and Troy? it didn't matter anyways, I went and sat at a table which Dustin, Lucas and Will joined me at, "Hey guys, did you know about the school play?" Dustin then asked us, "What? No?" Will then responded, he looked really worried, "Yeah, so there picking random people to play as well, and you can't get out of it, kinda sad honestly, like I have to play a tree, like what's the point in that" Lucas then said, "wait do Mike and I have to play any roles?" Will then asked Lucas, "Oh, yeah, so Mike, you get to play the role as one of the side characters," Dustin then said "and me?" Will then asked, "oh, you get the main role as Romeo" "ROMEO?" Will shouted, "yeah what's the problem?" "I DONT WANT TO PLAY ROMEO" Will shouted again, "well sucks to be you I guess" Lucas then said.

Will's Pov- I already felt like shit and now I felt even more shit, why me? Why do I have to play the main role in a play? why can't it be someone else? wait does that mean I have to kiss a girl? all these thoughts were running through my head, I couldn't stay focused, I soon felt dizzy, I then felt someone tapping my shoulder and saying my name, "Will? Will, are you alright" I heard Mike's voice say faintly, everything started getting blurry, what was happening? I then heard Mike say my name again "Will" I could only hear it faintly though, someone then started shaking my entire body, everything soon became clear again, someone then hugged me tightly I didn't know who it was until I turned around it was Mike, "Will are you alright? What happened?" Mike then said "I-I don't know" I said back to him, I was then taken to the nurse's office to get stable again.

Mike's Pov- I was so scared, Will looked half dead, but soon after he came back, I took him to the nurse to make sure he would be ok then went to class. My class was really boring, I had English, I've always hated English, don't know why I just did, I fell asleep in the middle of the teacher's lecture, but was soon woken up by the teacher yelling my name, "MICHAEL WHEELER" I quickly lifted my head from my desk and looked at the teacher standing Infront of me "Would you mind repeating what I just said Mike?" the teacher asked me, I sat there silent and rolled my eyes at the teacher, I don't think he liked that very much because I then got sent to detention.
