"Doc Ingrid."

I look at my secretary. Alexa.

"What is it?"

"Tara na po kumain. It's lunch time."

I look at the wall clock.

"Oh. I'm sorry. Hindi ko namalayan ang oras. Sige susunod na ako."

Alexa smiled before leaving my office.

Inayos ko muna ang mga gamit ko bago lumabas ng opisina ko at dumeretso sa kusina ng clinic -my clinic.

"Doc pwede ba akong umabsent bukas?" Alexa asked while we are eating.

"Huh? Why?"

She smiled shyly. "May date kasi ako."

I chuckled. "Sure."

She pouted. "Ang bait mo talaga doc. Pero magiging mag-isa ka lang bukas dito."

Maliit lang naman kasi ang clinic ko na ito. Ako lang at si Alexa ang nandito.

Dad told me na sa hospital na lang daw ako magtrabaho. Bibigyan nya daw ako ng office pero ayoko. Gusto kong mas matuto at magsimula sa ibaba.

He's still worried about me after what happened two years ago.

"Don't worry about me, Alexa. I'll be fine."

She smiled. "Thanks doc. Matanong ko lang doc. Halos magiisang taon na tayong magkama pero hindi ko pa nakitang makipagdate. May boyfriend ka ba na itinatago sa akin doc?"

I chuckled.

"Doc! Answer me. Baka naman may asawa ka na or fiance."

Napailing-iling na lamang ako.

"I don't have one."

"Huh? Really? But you're pretty, kind, smart, - you're a total package doc."

I chuckled once again.

She's so funny and adorable.

"Before I have a fiance but dad told me that his family break off the engagement."

She looks shocked at what I said.

"Why? Your family is rich, you are almost perfect! What the-"

I smiled.

Hindi ko din alam kung bakit nagkaganoon. Nabalitaan ko na lang na nasa ibang bansa na si Xian.

I even cried a lot when I heard that mom passed away.

Because of the accident two years ago, I lost some of my memories.

"You should try dating, doc. Di ba may mga patients ka na nagpapacute sa inyo? Why don't you try dating them?"

"Well one time may guy na nag-ask sa kin makipagdate but the next day he text me na hindi tuloy yung date and I never see him again."

Napakamot ng ulo si Alexa.

"I know someone great, Doc. Matalino tsaka mabait. Tsaka gwapo." She said then winked. "I'll set you up on a blind date."

"Wag ka ng mag-abala, Alexa."

She pouted. "Hindi pwede doc. You should be happy, too. Kailangan mo ng taong mag-aalaga sayo. A man who will stay and makes you happy."

I chuckled.

"Wag mo akong pagtawanan doc. I'm serious. I seset ko na yung date okay?"

Tumango na lamang ako para tapos na ang usapan.
