(Shinku's POV)
"I don't answer to you, woman." I shifted my gaze from Akahana shot Ruri a glare, my annoyance evident through my feitted teeth and tone.
Standing up from her side, I protectivly covered Akahana in my warm crimson chakra, crossed my arms, and radiated a fierce killing intent towards Ruri.
"Fuck..."
Akame, Ruri, and Eto dropped to a knee from the sudden eruption of chakra pressure, leaving the old lady to pass out beside Akahana.
"Hmm?" With my chakra now flowing freely, it was impossible for me to miss that the shackles binding my strength had loosened.
It was like a mountain was moved out of a rivers path toward an ocean of power.
I... finally somewhat free.
After leaving Uzu, I felt restrained in a few ways, but it wasn't until the Raikage and Hachibi pushed me that I realized my restrictions.
"I'll kick your ass..." Ruri grumbled. Pushing herself off the ground, she struggled against my chakra. Her nails dug into the wooden flooring, and she shot me a glare with a blood filled mouth.
"Oh. Will you now?" Pulling out a Kunai, i walked up to Ruri with a grin and stabbed down, aiming to drive through her skull to make wonderful splatter art.
"Die."
"STOP!"
"..."
"Now that's no fun..."
The sealing jutsu around my body burst out in a crimson gold aura as real chains erupted out from beneath my feet and bound me in place.
Honestly, I wouldn't have stabbed her... probably... maybe...
I was barely able to shift my eyes to see Akame exhausted with an outstretched hand toward me and blood leaking from her lip.
Her gaze trembled as she rose to her feet and stared at me, a tense silence filling the room.
"So I was right. It was you that did this to me." Thinking about my fight with the Hachibi and A, I was more annoyed that she never told me she did so than that she had actually done so.
Silence...
One step, two steps...
Slowly, Akame took steps closer towards me and eventually placed her calloused hands on my cheek.
It's been so long, I had forgotten she was more than a weak little girl, but an experienced Shinobi.
Still bound by these absurdly strong chains and seals, I couldn't even fight at this point and was left to her whims.
"Leave... You aren't welcome here."
Her trembling eyes soon turned fierce.
Though... it was weird. Like she was talking to me, but wasn't talking to 'me'.I tried to speak but felt my control over myself slip away.
"You know, the two of you are so much alike, and since I'm unable to harm that old witch of a mother, I'll enjoy torturing you. Ripping apart everything you love and hold dear, and finally ending it all with you." I could feel a grin spread across my lips as those words left my lips, but that voice was far from my own.
It was that same voice that followed during some of my most enjoyed battles, but also the same demeanor Odin said I can unconsciously switch to.
It was his voice in my dreams...
His voice, when I fell unconscious...
He was the one who seemed almost insane back then...
"Leave. If one of you should be in control, it's not you." Akame leaned in close and whispered into my ear as my vision turned black...
. . .
. .
.
As the sealing chains binding Shinku died down, Akame gently guided him to lie on his back. "Why provoke him? You already know that he doesn't take kindly to you."
Shifting her gaze from Shinku toward her mother.
"Tch. Do i need a reason to not like him? He's been nothing more than a waste of time, resources, and energy."
"What did you do to him..." From the bed, Akahana gripped the bedsheets with her trembling hands. Everything happened all too fast for her, and she was still trying to process what she saw.
"Shinku suffers from multiple personalities... no... I think it should be said he has more than one soul residing within his. This results in his lack of reasoning and unpredictability at times. I just suppressed the other souls from taking control."
Akame stroked Shinku's chin as he lied unconscious.
"Then... the reason he came back to Uzu..."
"Was because I sent him on a goose chase. It's not something I'm proud of, but I had no other choice at that time." Akame whispered as her mother left the room in a fit.
"Akahana, please rest up. I'll take care of Shinku." Lifting Shinku up, Akame gave a glance to Eto, who had still remained in the room. "Aunty..."
Akame could understand her aunt's feelings, seeing Shinku suddenly once again after putting their first encounter in the past. With the dark and twisted personality of one of Shinku's dormant souls, molesting a blood clone and having all of its memories.
"Allow me to help." Unexpectedly, Eto stepped to Shinku's other side and helped Akame lift him off the ground.
"Thank you..."
"When he wakes up, please let him know I still want to talk to him. I'm sure he has some interesting stories to tell about his time away." Akahana asked, forcing a smile. So much had happened in one night, and she couldn't bring herself to truly be happy about seeing Shinku in his current state.
"Yeah. I'm sure he'll be happy to spend some more time with you." Nodding, Akame left the room with Shinku and Eto.
...
"She's still hiding things..."
