"When you don't take into account the shity villagers, Uzushiogakure truly has its own charm." Standing atop one of the tallest buildings in the village, Shinku released the few moments he had left until Akame arrived.

His garments fluttered in the wind as the sun beemed down and gave his skin a bronze luster.

"Sorry I'm late, I wasn't expecting you to call me up here so early in the morning."

Landing behind Shinku, Akame smiled and approached the railing, following Shinku's gaze to the sea side.

"I spoke with the other Shinku last night when you knocked me out."

"Oh, that is certainly interesting. Though I'm unsure what that has to do with me."

Shinku shifted his gaze to Akame.

"He told me what he could about himself and how I came to be. Though there were quite a few holes that I'm assuming only you have the answers to. I want the truth, Akame."

"I told you, when you're str-"

"Stronger? It hasn't been long since I found out my power was sealed by 'you'. I nearly died because I couldn't unleash more of my strength. Give it to me straight." Interrupting her words, Shinku narrowed his gaze.

"What did you do?"

"..."

"Answer me, Akame."

"When I was a child, I was born with three... unique Kekkei Tōta. One allowed me to travel through multiple dimensions separate from ours, and the other were the Chains of God." Shifting her gaze to Shinku, Akame reached out and took his hands into her own.

"The final one was similar to clairvoyance, I saw the destruction of Uzushiogakure at the hands of other nations, along with the attack of otherworldly beings with strength reminiscent of a gods.

I was scared... I still am, honestly. But I believe you can stop them, I know you can save Uzu or even the world if the stories I heard about you are true."

"Those were stories of the former Shinku, I am not him. He's... Even as a soul, he's a beast. Though, how did you come to hear of him?" Allowing Akame to take his hands, Shinku shuddered as he recalled standing before his other self.

"Like you, I had another soul within me. Though she's gone now, She was the soul of a more mature and possessive version of myself. She said she was a mother to one of the greatest gods, a man she would love even in death."

"How'd you do it?"

"

Come with me." With a warm smile, Akame tugged for Shinku to follow her as she led him from the rooftop.

"My mother and I are quite intelligent, coupled with the guidance of my other soul. In an underground research facility on the outskirts of Uzu is where we created the perfect being... the hero that would save us..."

Following closely behind her, Shinku's gaze lingered for a moment on her smile.

'Hero... what a nauseating word.'

"Over the years, I used my Kekkei Tōta to travel across multiple dimensions, gathering precious materials o use in the construction of a 'god'." Leaping from the rooftops, the two eventually reached the lifeless outskirts of Uzu.
