If you notice one of your favorite lines is missing, since S3 I've been trying to keep the number of direct quotes under 15% of all of my dialogue, starting with this chapter. Either that, or I didn't like the line enough to put in. I might actually do an overhaul when I finish this season cleaning up the direct quotes.

Note: This chapter pretty much advertises where I'm from. Additionally, I could not find the actual song Five sings so I made up how it started.

Leaving your room the next morning, you were quite curious to find out what the hotel had in terms of food. The mood in your room had been quite grim, with Vanya deep in her own thoughts, and Allison still grieving. You didn't imagine their spirits would change overnight, but at the very least you hoped to move on with your own life.

You still had the fanny pack from the 60's to hold your money in—your chest twisted as you wished there were a certain ferret in it as well. All pain considered, you weren't in a hurry to get another pet. Even if you could find Dzie again, he wouldn't be the same. It was just another wound you were going to have to let heal.

"I was wondering when you'd get here." You were pulled out of your thoughts as you got to the elevators. Five was sitting on a chair stationed by the elevators, surprisingly not in his old uniform. Instead, he had pulled on Klaus' pants from the day before, as well as Diego's shirt.

You couldn't help but chuckle at the outfit; Klaus' pants seemed a bit too tight—at least by Five's standards given his awkward twitching. As for Diego's shirt, it was definitely meant for someone with a broader stature—despite his recent growth spurt. "Are you sure you don't want to see that tailor friend I found yesterday? They're pretty damn skilled," you remarked, gesturing to your own attire.

He stood from his chair, shaking his head lightly, "I've got something else in mind, I think you'll enjoy it."

You pretended to mull it over, "Can we at least eat first?"

The food you ate ended up getting scarfed down due to your excitement. This would be the first occasion during which you'd spent time with Five—alone and not dealing with an impending apocalypse—since before your petrification incident. To your surprise, the brunette ended up leading you by the hand down a few blocks to Gimble's. "Thrifting?" you inquired, amused with his choice as he opened the door for you.

"What? I figured we knew about this place for so long, might as well see what it's got to offer," he reasoned.

A thought occurred to you, "And you're not remotely interested in the possibility of seeing our friend Delores again?"

He laughed shortly through his nose, "Believe me, it wouldn't be the same." Understanding what he meant, you dropped the subject. For a moment, you wondered if, during the time he had found her when he first came back, it ever bothered him that you didn't know her. He did tell you that you'd been the one to find and name her in the first apocalypse.

Some questions are best left unanswered.

The store wasn't organized very well, some clothing clearly hadn't been put back in the correct sections. Nonetheless, it was fun watching Five pluck just about any old thing off the racks. He found an utterly atrocious graphic shirt with a white wolf on it and held it up to his chest, "Thoughts?"

You laughed, "And prayers, I can definitely find something better!"

"Alright, I'm waiting," he teased, crossing his arms pointedly.
