We pulled into the school's parking lot, only to see that it was packed. He looked to me with a smile on his face and said, "Well, now what?"  I smiled back at him and said, "Park on the grass." He frowned as he did what I said. "If something happens to my car there will be consequences."
I don't know why but something about the way he said that made my core wet and tighten. I could feel butterflies in my lower abdomen making goosebumps appear on my skin, and the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I shivered. Jace only laughed at my reaction.
We quickly got out of the car and walked towards the schools entrance when Amanda ran into me wrapping her arms around me. "Oh my god! Thank god your okay! Who was that guy that attacked you? What happened? What did you do to your hair?" I smiled at my friend until I got the familiar scent of wet dog. "Amanda, you a werewolf?" She smiled and said, "Yup, I'm part of Alexander's pack."
I smiled and said, "Thank god, I don't have to keep my secret of being a vampire from you." She laughed and looked her arm through mine as we continued through the doors of the school. The three of us stopped dead in our tracks as we saw the stranger holding a backpack on his shoulder and looking at his schedule with pure distaste. Amanda growled extending her claws, Jace got in front of me showing fang and hissed.
The stranger looked up and laughed. "Anastasia, please tell your pet dog and mate to stand down. We wouldn't want things to get bloody." He glanced over at a couple standing at a set of lockers in the middle of a lip lock. I put a hand on Jace's shoulder and shook my head at Amanda who continued to growl. "What are you doing here?" I asked. He smiled and said, "Well, I'm here to convince you to come with me to my master but since its hard to just take you, maybe I can convince you with threa-" Victoria walked up to Jace and said, "Please don't kill him. He's my mate." The three of us looked at her and I said, "We can't promise that, he's trying to have me killed."
The stranger cleared his throat and said, "I'm Reginald. What's your name?" He directed his question to Victoria. She smiled and said, "I'm Victoria. You don't have to do what your master says, join us. We can fight him. Please Reginald." We looked at Reginald who looked like he was in an internal battle with himself until he finally looked up and kneeled. "Please forgive me, Anastasia, my lord. Let me assist you in defeating Demetrius. Your going to need all the help you can get." I looked at Jace and smiled walking over to him.
"Reginald welcome to our clan. But I must warn you trust isn't just given after the things you have done its earned. But I look forward to fighting side by side with you." I smiled and said, "As do I know go to your mate and get to know her. Later we will discuss Demetrius." He nodded and walked over to Victoria taking her hand. "I won't let you down. That I swear to you."
I walked over to Jace and wrapped my arms around him. "Well, now we have an advantage. He's one man down and we might actually get valuable information." Jace smiled and said, "Let's not get our hopes up. Like you said trust is earned so let's ride it out and see where this leads us, since our prisoner refuses to give up any information." I nodded. The bell rang signaling it was time to go to class, I smiled at Jace and gave him a kiss then walked to my class.
