Chapter 10

Toni's POV

Where could Shelby have gone?

Just as I turn the corner I see Shelby sitting on the floor with her knees to her chest. Not crying tho- just sitting there.

Toni: Shelby?

Shelby: Jesus. what?!

She sounds irritated. Can't blame her tho.

Toni: I wanted to check on you. You've been really distant all day.

Shelby: I'm fine.

Toni: I know that's not true Shelby. Talk to me.

I walk over and sit by her. I put my hand on her back softly

Shelby: what's there to talk about

She pushes my hand away as she says this

Toni: why didn't you tell about the tasers before?

Shelby: I didn't WANT to tell you guys at all

Toni: ok, why have you been acting so distant

Shelby: you can't expect me to act all buddy buddy after the island

Toni: what do you mean?

Shelby: we broke up Toni. Why would I act buddy buddy after that.

Toni: Shelby we can still be friends

I can't tell if she still wants to be with me or not

Shelby: no. We can't. I need more then friends. But we can't do that.

Shelby stands and goes to walk away but I grab her wrist. We're both standing now.

Toni: Shelby please

Shelby: just leave me alone Toni.

She starts walking but I go after her.

Toni: I'm not gonna leave you alone.

Shelby: Toni-

I kiss her before she can continue.
