UNINTENDED LOVE - (MaNan)

Chapter-7

It was the evening time. Nandini was still in college working on her research. So with no choice here he is, Manik standing in front of Wilson's mansion. The fact that he can still say no to her but he himself don't know why didn't he say no. It is not like she is his friend. Maybe he started considering her as a friend but that not close friend to help out of his comfort. He just met her a day before but still he just couldn't say no. Finally he came to conclusion that since they'll be living together in the same house for a while so he didn't want any kind of negative energy or vibes between them.

Finally he entered inside their mansion and he saw that Mrs. Wilson was about to go outside. He greeted her. Mrs. Wilson looked at him and gave a glance behind him- "hey Anant, good evening. Where is Nandini?" Manik replied - "Hey, actually she is busy with her college work so she couldn't come. She told me to be here on her behalf. She was extremely sorry for this". Mrs. Wilson sighed - "alright, I hope she told you what to do. I'll be back in an hour or two". Saying this she left.

He greeted their cook and told her to prepare the dinner showing his mobile. Basically he was showing Nandini's message. After explaining everything he went to Joey's room. Manik said to himself - " come on Manik, you can do this". With a smile he said- " hey Joey. What's up kiddo". Joey looked at him and flared his nose - "I'm not kiddo. Who are you? Where is Nandini?".

Manik was dumbfounded. He didn't expect this kid to get offend by the word kiddo. But he calmly replied - " she won't come here today so here I am". He quickly checked his phone and checked Nandini's message. Second thing he had to do was to make sure Joey completes his homework. He asked him about his homework but Joey was not happy with his new guest or caretaker.

Joey ran to other side of his room - " I don't like you. Call Nandini". Manik placed his hand on his forehead. Handling a kid is stuff. He tried to call Nandini but she didn't answer. In the meantime the cook came with the dinner. She kept it on the table and left. He tried to make him finish his dinner but Joey was not listening. He was just running across the room. Manik was so tired chasing him so he again called Nandini but unfortunately she didn't answer again.

He called for the cook and house keepers but he realized that no one was there in the mansion. He remembered Nandini's message that today no one will be staying in the mansion as there is a party at Wilson's office and they went there to help. He was alone with Joey in the whole Mansion. Having no other option he immediately called Cabir.

Cabir said- "dude I'm not good with kids and I don't think I can come there. I came to this place which is far from your location. Just keep calling her. Maybe in an hour she'll answer your calls. Just keep trying". Manik was so pissed with his reply and this situation that he didn't say anything and just ended the call.

Manik pulled his hair in frustration and looked at Joey. He slowly went to him and with a smirk he said- " okay listen, I know you don't like me. And to be honest this feeling is mutual. I have a deal for you. You do what I've been told to. Just follow your basic routine and I'll allow you to do according to your wish. This deal can be between us. No need to tell anyone. In this way we both will be benefited. My purpose will be done and you can also enjoy without any of these restrictions. Give and take".

Manik said this in his full on attitude. This is the only quality he got from his mother, Nyonika. He learnt from his mother that everything in this world is a transactional. They never shared any mother-son bond. It was always a give and take relationship.

Joey after thinking for a while he climbed on the bed and tried to match his height which was still impossible for him as Manik is so tall. He asked- "what are your conditions?"

Manik smirked and said- " you already know my 2 conditions, first you have to finish your dinner and then you have to finish your homework before going to bed. Now you tell your conditions". Joey said with excitement - " I wanna watch Starshow videos. I love her songs. But my parents don't allow me to watch any kind of music videos. So you'll show me her videos in your mobile".

Manik gave him a weird look. He opened his phone to check what is this Starshow. He could see that there is a singer who uploads her silhouette singing videos on youtube. After he was confirmed that those videos can be watched by a kid he agreed to that condition.

He asked about his 2nd condition. " You have to come here at least once in a week. Obviously I need to watch her videos and Nandini doesn't allow me. So you have to make sure to come here so that I can watch her videos". Manik gave it a thought and agreed to that condition as well. Anyway he don't have much things to do here. Sometimes Cabir is also busy in his work. He thought in this way he can find some change in his usual routine and life.

Joey forwarded his hand to crack a deal. Manik smirked and shook his tiny hand into his gaint ones. He knew no one will deny this offer. Everyone will think for their benefits.

After a while Mr. & Mrs. Wilson returned from their party so Manik also bid goodbye to them and was walking back to his house. Yes, that house now belongs to him too. He remembered the conversation he had with Nandini the other day when they were walking back from Wilson's mansion. A small smile came on to his face.

He reached the house and saw that the door was still locked. That means Nandini didn't return from her college. He checked the time. It was 12:30 am. He was little worried for Nandini as it was too late. He was about to call her but he heard some noise. He turned back to see Nandini was talking to someone. Actually she was laughing with some guy. "Who is this guy?", Manik thought.
