Part 10 - Escape

Nobody's pov

Finney tightly packed soil into the phone making sure he would be able to hurt the grabber with it, Lucy sat nervously in the corner of the room getting herself ready to fight. The light suddenly turned on and faint footsteps were heard coming down the stairs, Lucy walked up to Finney their backs against the the wall. Lucy softly grabbed Finney's hand, they both nervously smiled to eachother.

The large door slightly opened they expected to see the grabber in his mask but it wasn't him. A man poked his head out " No fucking way, i knew he was hiding something from me but holy mary mother of god" the man said. "Please help us" Lucy said desperately "Call our parents or-or my sister" Finney said. "Oh don't worry he's gone to work, I'm Max don't worry guys he wont be back for ages"he took breath" Do you want to hear the story of how i found you?" Max said.

Before the children could say no a figure came behind Max, a large axe in hand. The figure smashed the axe into Maxes head. No,no,no,no the children were panicking. "Look what you made me do, you made me kill my brother" the grabber said. "No-no it wasn't us" Finney said. " "what's with the phone i told you IT DOESNT WORK" the grabber screamed at as he took the bloody axe out of Maxes head.  This made Finney grip the phone tighter. "Samson" he called as a large angry dog came down the stairs.

He tied the dog near the door making it harder for them to exit. The grabber Swung the large bloody axe towards the children, which they luckly dodged running in opposite directions. They quickly ran into the hally way jumping over the covered hole. The grabber ran after them falling in the hole. Lucy heard the snap of his ankle and as he fell screams followed. Finney started to punch and hit the grabber Lucy joined him. Finney punched him again but this time the grabber manage to grab his wrist and pull him down and trying to strangle him. Lucy grabbed the grabbers mask throwing it out of his reach she punched his face making his nose bleed. He let go of Finney who quickly wrapped the phone chord around the grabbers neck.

'Ring,ring'  the phone began to ring. The grabbers eyes traveled to the phone box after all these years of him hearing the phone he thought he was crazy, it was all in his head. "Its for you" Lucy said as she bought the phone to his ear.

"Welcome to the nightmare end of your pathetic little life." Vance spoke
" You dont have much time" Griffin said as he laughed.
"I cant kill you, you hijo de puta so Finn and Lucy will do it for me" Robin said.
"Finns arm isss mint" Bruce said as Finney pulled the chord hard snapping his neck.

The did it they killed him.

The two slowly stood up surprised at their own actions. They began to walk to the door, Lucy threw the dog some of the meat they found in the back of the freezer. They walked up the stairs, through the house and up to the door. Finney unlockd the lock. Lucy took a relieved breathe before opening the door.

The bright but dull sun stung their eyes slightly. The cold air blew into their pale faces. They saw a small figure run up to them. Gwen hugged her brother tight before hugging Lucy. They couldn't
believe they had actually got out.

Police officers ran up to the three children. Finney just said basement to them not knowing what elts to say. Another police officer guided the children to an ambulance to be checked out.

Timeskip

Lucy, Finney and Gwen were wrapped up in grey blankets. They sat in the back of the ambulance " Are you ok?" Finney said to Lucy. "I guess, you?" She asked "Yeah same" he said back.

" Lucy" Finney asked "Yeah?" She replied. "I think- well what I'm trying to say- or what I want to say is-" Before Finney could finish his sentence a soft pair of lips were connected to his. After a few seconds Lucy pulled away. "I really like you Finney Blake" Said Lucy. "I really like you too Lucy baker" Finney said back.

"Im sorry for all those times i was an asshole to you" Finney said truthfully. "Im sorry for all thoes times i was a bitch to you" she said back as Finney smiled to her. They sat in silence for a few seconds " Thank you" Lucy said. " For what?" Finney asked not " you" she said. Finney smiled " I just wish the others could of gotten out too" he said sadly. Lucy laid her head on his shoulder, Finney put his head ontop of hers.

"We did it Finney we killed him" Lucy whisperd just loud enough for Finney to hear.

Timeskip

Lucy and Finney became more than friends, they became a couple. Before this they thought eachother were the most annoying person in the world, they hated eachother. But their feelings had changed for the better.

Lucy walked to her classroom, people were giving her looks and whispering to one another but she didn't care, she just wanted to see Finney.

Finney walked through the crowded hallway, as people saw his face they made a path for him to walk through he could hear the whispers.
"I though and he would've been bigger"
"I heard him and Lucy Baker are together"
"I cant believe he killed the grabber"
But he didn't listen, he didn't care, he just wanted to see Lucy.

He walked into his classroom walking inbetween all the desks. He sat in his seat, he turned to his left the see the face he once hated but now loved. "Goodmorning Finney" She said happily that he was there. "You can call me Finn you know" he said with a smile on his face. She laughed.

"Well I'm happy to see you Finn" She said. "Me too" he said back with a smile
