"Ok. This is it."

Ayana stood on the deck of a boat as she felt the water splash her legs, all while she's on her way to the c***** island she'd read about in the contract she signed. In her mind, she doesn't even understand why she'd been picked, especially when the audition tape she sent was the weirdo it could ever be. She had to refilm it a bunch of times before deciding to go get the thing over with, then decided to send it not thinking she'd be picked... but oh well. Maybe they were looking for crazy.

Ayana gave out a sigh when she finally distinguished some of the aspects of the island, which aren't like the promo they've put on the website...but she already knew about this because of the contract.

Why did she give out the temptation of being on a reality show with a contract that says she could be put in danger? She's done stupid things before, but not this stupid!

As the boat brings the young lady closer to the dock of the island, Ayana saw that it is filled with strangers; strangers she'll have to stay with for a while. She felt a pit forming in her stomach: now she kinda wished she didn't know about this show in the first place.

Ayana gulped as the boat arrived at the destination, averting her eyes from the people as soon as she felt theirs on hers. Ayana has slowly forgotten how everything feels suffocating when she's forced to interact with strangers. Breathing in once, Ayana simply pick up her luggage (which consists of two large bags) before she jumped onto the wooden dock in front of the host, Chris McLean.

"And this is our twenty-third camper, Ayana!" Chris excitedly introduces her to the others, his eyes shining with a mischievous light as he gives them a grin. "Be careful, though! She's not as nice as she seems!"

Chris's comment is more than enough to prove Ayana's theory as to why she's here: they're hoping she'll get tired of being nice and just blatantly give them the same treatment as she gave her younger brother. If people get on her nerves enough, maybe she'll stop caring about what they think and give them what they want... Maybe.

Ayana sets her things down with the others' luggage further away on the docks, then shakily forced a nice smile towards the other teenagers around her age. She starts picking her nails as she speaks.

"Hi."

She didn't sound as nice as one would hope, but it didn't really matter. The smile immediately falls from her face without a second thought as she goes quiet, averting her gaze from the competition to await Chris' next instructions.

As she does so, her eyes accidentally stare at a green-haired punk standing a few feet away from her. He didn't really look like much, so there was nothing to react over. It doesn't take long before Ayana averts her eyes, this time settling them on a blue-haired Goth girl standing right next to him. Looking extremely bored and disappointed, her sharp eyes and bitten bottom lip didn't do much for her either.

She decides to look back towards the punk, their eyes meeting this time. Upon seeing Ayana, he sends her a smirk followed by a wink, and she averted her eyes once more. Nope, still nothing. Unlucky for the girl, her eyes meet the Goth girl's ones soon after, the blue-haired expression softening to give Ayana a small smile.

Ayana smiled back, but unfortunately, she didn't feel her heart flipping. Not even their obvious good looks did anything.

This is going to be a long summer, isn't it?

A short girl with a side ponytail, black glasses, and a huge smile covered with braces suddenly runs over to her with high eagerness. She takes a few steps back out of sudden fear, not quite used to such excessive joy from a stranger. She doesn't notice her reaction and simply giggles happily at her.
