16+ Warning: Internalized hate, emotional angst, overwhelming thoughts, and huge secret keeping.

A/N: A look at how Ayana deals with emotions and being soft around people. This chapter gets really trippy guys. If you don't like any descriptions of blood or the sight of blood, then this chapter is not for you.

It had been mere moments since the boat had left Sadie's view, the rotund girl falling on the dock as soon as she pronounces that she'll miss Katie, her arms wrapping themselves around her body as an attempt to comfort herself; though, her cries only seem to get harder with each second that passes by. The mere sound of her demise manages to make the surfer's stomach twist with guilt.

She stops right near the sobbing girl, a solemn look on her face. "Katie would want you to keep going," she tried, unfortunately being met with more cries.

Then she sighed.

"Come on." Bridgette speaks up as she grabbed one of the girl's arms, gently helping her get up on her feet. "Let's go back and join the others."

"No! Katie!" Sadie profusely shakes her head through her cries; her efforts to the dock managed to break off a plank of wood before lamenting, "I miss you!"

With a sigh, Bridgette pulls the girl along, already dreading the rest of the night.

Hopefully, this will all be better tomorrow.

Sadie's cries resonate around the campgrounds, the crackling sound of the fire barely being heard because of the loud noises coming out of her mouth and nose.

"It was a long goodbye," Bridgette tells them.

Some of the campers nodded to show they understood. The others, however, kept their faces toward the ground, Sadie's mournful cries being a painful reminder of how they just lost their winning streak - bad to bring losers.

It had been a dark night indeed.

"What do you guys want? Come by to rub it in?"

All sulking suddenly stopped when Courtney's voice snapped, every single member of the team soon turned a dreadful look towards the cabins' path, only for them to see The Screaming Gophers standing there with confused and surprised expressions on their faces.

We just got some extra dessert after our tuck shop party, and we thought you might want some."

Courtney squints her eyes at them. "So what? You're just being...nice?"

"Okay..." Gwen sighed, pointing at Owen standing a few feet further from his teammates, her other hand making back and forth movements in front of her face. "Owen stunk up our cabin, and we need some time to air out."

As if on cue, Owen gives out another fart, the big blond giving out a blush of embarrassment as soon as he feels his teammates' looks of disgust on him.

"Ew." Trent shakes his head once more, a light of disappointment in his eyes. "Dude."

Beth presented a plate of green jelly over to Courtney.

"No!" Courtney's eyes widen as she screams, her hands rapidly shoving the jelly back into Beth's arms while taking a step back. She realized how odd her reaction was and forced a smile, slightly shaking her head. "I mean...no thanks. I'm good."

"What? Are you on a diet or something?"

"No!" The brunette was whirling in Duncan in an instant, shooting him a nasty glare, her features stretched into a horrifying expression; she breathes in and out slowly, speaking through her teeth as she tries to hold back her anger. "... I just don't like green jelly, okay...?"
