Sandman's Daughter

Chapter One/Morpheus

"My Lord?" Lucien asked 

"Yes?" I said not looking up

"My Lord we might have an issue that you will want to address" She said 

"What?" I asked looking up

"Do you remember the Goddess Melinoe?" She asked 

"I do" I said carefully 

"Do you remember the child?" Lucien asked 

  Looking at her I took a deep breath and replied, "I do"

"Well it appears the child is still alive and in the waking world." Lucien said 

"Okay?" I asked 

"And she's causing some trouble" Lucien said slowly 

"What is she doing?" I asked 

"I think you should see this." She said handing me a book

  I took the book from her and read part of it; this was bad. This couldn't go unchecked.

"I'll take care of it." I said 

"Sir, what are you going to do to the child?" She asked 

"I don't know yet." I said 

"Sir-" She began 

  But I was gone before she could finish, I found myself in a park. It wasn't hard to spot her She had her mom's midnight blue hair and tan skin. A black cat wrapped itself around her leg causing her to turn around. I know she saw me, but she pretended to not. She had my blue eyes other than that she looked like a young version of her mother. 

"Patience!" I called out 

  She kept walking not turning around.

"Patience!" I said again

  Again, she didn't turn around 

"Diligence!!" I yelled 

  That stopped her in her tracks, I walked up to her, and she glared at me. 

"What do you want?" She snapped 

"We need to talk." I said 

"No we don't." She replied 

"Diligence you are causing trouble here, Endless don't belong in the waking world." I said 

"My name is Patience now, and I'm not an Endless." She snapped

"No, but you are a child of an Endless and you can do damage to the mortals-" I began 

"I'm the daughter of a goddess." She replied 

"I know you don't like me-" I began

"That doesn't cover my feelings about you." She retorted

"Patience, you can not keep preventing people from dying! It is unnatural you are harming the waking world." I shouted 

"Oh yeah? And what the fuck do you plan on doing to stop me? I'm more powerful than you." She laughed 

"You will be coming to the Dreaming with me and living there." I said 

"How are you going to make me?" She asked 

"Like this." I said 

  I grabbed her wrapping an arm around her I threw the sand around us transporting us to the Dreaming. Diligence elbowed me in the face forcing me backwards.

"What the fuck!?" She screamed
