~ Home? pt. 2 ~

"So when's Harry coming back?" Gemma asked as she sits in the livingroom with Anne and Des, she wanted to see how long they'll keep up with the lie. Harry decided to sit in the car being too anxious to go inside, he didn't think he could face them again.

Their parents make eyes at each other before one steps in, Anne of course. "He didn't say, love, probably a while. You know how kids are running off with their girlfriends these days."

"Is that so?" Their oldest daughter asked with a eye roll but they don't notice. "Yep. When did you talk to him?"

"Hmm five months ago I think. That's not like him not to talk to me, you know? You sure he safe? Your little boy all alone out there." She directs that last part to her father. He looks down not being able to make eye contact with her.

"He's fine, Gemma. He's a grown man and should've been out in the world." Anne says a little harshness in her voice.

"Dad?"

"Gemma come on..."

"Five months, dad! Did you even give him money?! I know you kicked him out because he wasn't your perfect little boy! But he never was, dad and you knew it. You always took her side and made him do things he didn't wanna do."

"Don't talk to your father that way. That boy knew how we felt and he still chose that life style!"

Gemma gets up, walking over to her mother, "It's not a lifestyle! He can't help that he loves-"

Anne slaps Gemma across the face before she could finish the sentence. "I'm sorry. Oh honey, I'm so sorry."

Outside Harry got out of the car after making sure Darcy was still asleep in the back. He didn't like how long Gemma was taking, so he wanted to make sure everything was okay.

He gasps from outside watching everything play out between his mother and sister. This was all his fault, he shouldn't have brought Gemma into it and just stayed away like he planned.

"Fuck your apologize, mom."

She storms in Harry's room and finds all of his things gone, it looked like he never lived there. She looks in the closet and it was empty as well.

"Dad!"

"Gemma..." He says, already standing in the doorway feeling more ashamed than he did on the day they chose to throw all his things out.

"How could you? Was it even a day before you threw his things out? He could've came back..."

"I couldn't stop her. You know how she is but they're in the garage, she thinks I threw them out but I couldn't. I pray he's okay."

"Yeah a pregnant homeless guy is having the time of his life. Did you even look for him?"

Des looks down, sighing, "I went to his college once... but that's about it."

"I can't believe you, dad... I'm done with this "pretending to be fine" bullshit. He never did anything wrong." She leaves Des standing there thinking about how all of this has ruined their once close-knit family. He didn't know if he should blame Harry, Anne or himself.
