Chapter 10

A invitation letter was sent to the ruby palace from the emerald palace. It seems that princess Athansia is hosting a tea party and has invited Jennette.

"A tea party?"Jennette asked

"Yes, lady the princess has given you an invitation to her tea party" The maid answer

Athanasia's tea party, it was basically a mini banquet. Ever since Athansia held her first tea party at the age of 10 it was one of the most things the nobles look forward to. Not being invited to the party probably means you did something to upset the princess, so the people that didn't get an invitation the nobles ignore them.

Athansia inviting Jennette was a part of her a schemes to show the nobles that she was their kind little princess that would even invite the person who ruined her debutante but really she would just make sure to get Jennette irritated enough for her to burst

Jennette was now in the black carriage that had the Obelian emblem, but it wasn't the carriage the imperial family uses.

The whole ride she kept complaining about how she should ride in the imperial family carriages

What she was wearing

Now she has arrived they announced her arrival and this is what she saw

It really was very extravagant. Expensive treats, fine cutlery, and of course what would a tea party be without gossiping nobles.

There she saw Athansia running gracefully to her while people were gossiping about what she was wearing.

"Jennette, I'm glad you could make it" She said with a bright smile as people looked at them some nobles kept saying how Athansia was the light and Jennette was the darkness that came to absorb their light

"Come, come sit with me and my friends" Athansia said as she took her hand and pulled her to to her table

Athansia then took a seat and said "Well, introduce yourself" She said as she tilted her head and smiled

But unlike the others when Jennette met Athanasia's gaze she felt like a fly getting trapped on a spiders web, like she was the prey and she was the predator

This is made Jennette terrified that she stammered, "im uh J-jen-nnette de-"

"Margarita" Athansia cut her off

After this Jennette finally managed to compose herself. But she was angry that Athansia cut her of and making her surname "Margarita" instead of "De Alger Obelia"

"Greetings I'm Jennette Margarita" She said with a smile

All they did was give a few hateful looks and judgemental stares then they went back to talking with Athanasia

'Why aren't they greeting me back?!' she thought as she grit her teeth

She gripped her dress then sat down

"Oh princess, I was wondering why didn't lord magician go to the debutante" the pink haired girl asked

'Lord magician?' Jennette thought

"Ah, Lucas was busy with work so he couldn't attend" Athansia answered with a slight smile

"Uh who's Lucas?" Jennette asked

"Oh lady how do you not know" one of the girls asked

"Well Jennette has only arrived at the palace a few days ago it's inevitable that she doesn't know such things" The princess explained

"So you've never been out to society before?"

"Umm" Jennette then became slightly uncomfortable and embarrassed with the questions

"Hey let's go back to the earlier question" Athansia said as she clapped her hands together, "Lucas is one of my childhood playmates he's also my friend, and he's also a magician of the tower"

"One of your playmates?" Jennette said emphasizing on the "one"

"Ah yes the other one was young lord Ijekiel Alpheus"

After she said that the girls then started talking about her and Ijekiels dance and Jennette just looked frustrated

'Ijekiel.... He stopped playing with me.. T-then he be-came c-cold to me.... BECAUSE OF YOU, YOU BITCH!' She thought as she glared at Athansia

Athansia noticed this but wasn't faced by it

After 2 hours the tea party finally ended and everyone said their farewells to the princess, though Jennette left half an hour earlier than everyone else

At the ruby palace

The ruby palace doors slam open, the maids flinch at the sudden noise

Jennette speed walks angrily to her room then she slams her door shut as paces angrily, biting her fingernails.

"Ugh! All those girls did was talk to Athansia or talk about Athansia! What's so good about her, 'oh I'm Athansia people only like me because daddy favours me' Blah blah blah" she says in that baby mimicking voice

And then for the rest of the night she just complains till she gets tired and falls asleep

Meanwhile at the emerald palace

"Goodnight, sweet dreams our lovely princess" Lily says as she carries a candle, opening the door to leave the room

"Night lily..."

'aaah, I'm so tired that tea party was exhausting. Well it was worth it to just see that face Jennette made, I thought she would burst hmm at least she has more constraint than i thought'

After that a few minutes later the princess fell asleep.
