--Spike's POV--

I was on my way home from Rarity's place when I decided to go to sugarcube corner. I wanted a cupcake. When I entered the building, I was met by a grey filly.
She seemed very upset. She was galloping towards the door yelling at another filly by the window. She ran past me and slammed the door behind herself. The filly at she was yelling at was just sitting there staring at the door like she couldn't believe what just happened.
I walked up to the counter, bought my cupcake and sat down next to the filly.
"What was all that about?" I asked.
"Oh my Celestia Spike leave me alone! You have literally nothing to do with this, I can handle this on my own! I'm not a baby Spike!"
Then she stormed out the door. I ate my cupcake and then I returned to the castle.

I opened the castle doors and walked upstairs. Twilight and Rainbow were sleeping on the floor, cuddling. Twilight's mane was all messed up and her makeup was completely ruined.
I wonder what they had been doing...
Oh Celestia what's wrong wit me I'm a baby dragon!

A book and a quill were laying on the floor behind the sleeping couple. I glanced at the book. It seemed to be some sort of diary, so I made sure not to read a word of it before I closed it and carried it up to Twilight's room. Since I didn't know where she wanted it, I put it down on her bed.

I noticed that the trashcan was full and thought I'd take out the trash. I was just about to tie the trash-bag closed when I noticed something shiny in the bag. I picked it up to make sure I wasn't accidentally throwing anything important away, and what I saw surprised me.

A razor blade? But Twilight didn't shave, not that I knew of anyways. Why was there a
razor blade?

What would she use a razor blade for?

Unless...

Sh*t

I couldn't believe it. I didn't want to believe it.

There was no other explanation though.

Suddenly, I wanted to read the diary I had found. I wanted to know what had caused this. I wanted to help. I didn't read it though, whatever was in there was private. I decided I would ask her about it later.

Meanwhile, I decided to do all I could to make her happier. First, I searched the entire castle for razor blades and threw every blade I found.
Then I baked cookies. I stayed up late baking batch after batch of her favorite cookies.

Before I went to bed, I put a page from one of her poetry books that I had found where her library stood on her pillow. The page was one of the only pages left of the book and it was damaged and slightly burned, but you could still read it.

"When things go wrong as they sometimes will,
When the road you're trudging feels all uphill,
When funds are low and debts are high,
When you want to smile but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must, but don't you quit."
