The game went by fairly quickly with BEN helping me out every so often when I got stuck, which actually happened a lot. Like I said, I'm not very good at LoZ games. BEN somehow played as Tatl, the fairy who follows me around and gives me advice, and basically told me exactly what to do when I got stuck. In fact, at this very moment, I was having a bit of trouble finding the temples that the stray fairies were in, so BEN helped me out by making Tatl say things like "the first temple is over that way," or "go left here," and other things.

I think he was frustrated by how often I got stuck during the game, especially when I accidentally trapped myself in between a wall and a huge boulder that seemed to just keep coming again and again from around the corner as if there was a portal there. "You really aren't very good at this, are you?" he asked me with an exasperated sigh. I just shook my head in response. After I'd died for about the tenth time, he got up and walked into the television to take control of Link and get him away from the wall, getting bashed by the boulder once or twice in the process. "Ow! Damn it!" he shouted in pain, but I couldn't actually hear him because he was inside the game; the words just appeared silently on the screen.

I laughed, earning a glare from the other side of the television screen. The words "shut up" appeared on the screen as he glared up at me. "Sorry, Ben. I-" I was interrupted by a quiet gasp from the direction of the door. I looked over to see none other than Jeff the Killer. "Who the hell are you?" he asked, standing in the doorway covered in blood and with a murderous grin - well, the permanent one he always wore, anyway - on his face as if he'd just come back from a killing spree, which he probably did.

BEN came out of the television and walked up to Jeff calmly. No doubt he's dealt with him before. "Jeff, this is Nicky. She'll be staying with us for a while. I'm testing her," he explained, looking back at me for a moment as if analyzing me, then turning back to Jeff. "She's horrible at video games-" "Hey!" "Don't interrupt me unless you want to die. Anyway, but she has enough gall to speak to me as if we're related, so I thought I'd bring her here to see how she reacts to the others," he finished.

Jeff looked at him like he had just stabbed him in the gut - wide-eyed and with an expression that resembled shock and horror on his face - then proceeded to whisper-yell at BEN as if reprimanding him.

He wasn't all that great at whispering, though, because I understood every word. "Are you insane, BEN??" he asked, then realized what he just said. "Don't answer that, but do you have any idea how much trouble you'll be in if you don't at least tell him about this??"

I had to resist the urge to snicker at Jeff's little slip-up. I mean, sure, I'm bold and all, but Jeff is much different from BEN. I know that, and I'd much rather keep my life than laugh at Jeff's mistakes like I would with BEN.

"Yes, and who says I won't tell him about it? For all you know, I could've walked out of this room before breakfast and told him," BEN replied fearlessly, which didn't surprise me. He wasn't even trying to use the same 'hushed tones' as Jeff. Again I reiterate: no doubt they've had conversations like this countless times.

"You'd better," Jeff said. "Slender will be very angry if you don't." He stormed off, presumably back to his room.

BEN turned away from the door and sighed. "Well, as much as I'd love to just sit here and play video games all morning," he started, and I yawned noticeably, "you need sleep, and I need to tell Slender why there's a human in his mansion." Then he just stood there silently, as if he's waiting for something.

I nodded mechanically and stood, understanding that it was me he was waiting for. "Where will I be sleeping?" I asked tiredly as I walked over to where he was standing. Then I started to wonder who I'll meet here. Well, there's Slenderman, obviously, and Jeff and BEN, but who else lives in this mansion? All I knew of its residents came from the many fanfictions I've read, and they aren't all reliable.

I was drawn back out of my thoughts by BEN's response a few seconds later, which was probably for the best. I'll start talking to myself if I get too deep in thought. Wait, no! I want him to see my crazy! At least, that's what he wants to see, isn't it?

BEN looked at me weirdly. "Okay," I replied, trying to pretend I had been paying attention to his response. Apparently, he wasn't falling for my act.

"You weren't paying attention to a word I just said, were you?" he said with a sigh. "Alright then, I guess you don't really want to know what room you're staying in. That's fine by me; I'll just stick you in a random room and let whoever's in it have at you."

My eyes widened as he started shoving me down the hall toward one of the doors, and I started trying unsuccessfully to stop myself. "B-Ben, no! Please!" I begged as he continued shoving me toward the door that would surely lead to a slow and/or painful death. "I'll listen, I promise! Please don't-!"

"Would you please be quiet!" he whisper-yelled into my ear. "You'll wake the others!" He shoved me through the door. "Stay in here while I go tell Slender what's going on, and don't make a sound," he commanded, quickly shutting the door before I could reply and leaving me in the strange room alone.. I hope..
