"I think it's pretty obvious that Maki is going to win what do you think Toge?" You whispered to Toge, leaning in close to his face.
"Mustard leaf!" Toge pulled his collar up to cover his red face. He hated how nervous he felt when he was around you, and Panda would only tease him relentlessly about it. 'I can't help it, and he knows that!! Damn him!'
"Eh? Did I scare you or something?" You looked at Panda, who was snickering out of control.
"No, (Name)-chan, you didn't do anything wrong." Panda laughed. Oh, how he enjoys seeing Toge so flustered around you. Y/n-chan, you really are clueless, aren't you...
"Hey, hey, everyone! How's it going?" Gojo greeted, catching all of your attention.
"Oh, um-0OF!" Maki smacked Yuta across the face with her metal polearm making you chuckle he then fell to the ground, rubbing his sore cheek with disdain.
"Pay attention." Maki ordered.
"Yes, ma'am." Yuta said.
"Get ready, baldie."
"Yes, ma'am."Panda and Toge winced. 'So strict!'
"You're gonna score a hit on me, right?" Maki said.
"Yes, ma'am!"
You watched in amusement as Maki swung her polearm around Yuta. As she prepared to strike him, he launched himself in the air and shifted his katana to hit her, but she dodged. When he tried to attack her again, Maki dropped below his reach of attack and swung her legs to force him to the ground. She pinned his leg with her own and grabbed hold of his collar. Then, for good measure, she bonked him on the head with her weapon. You snickered.
"Aaand you're dead. I win again." She smirked.
"What was that last hit for?" Yuta whined.
"Don't get complacent. Act like this is a real fight. We improve more quickly when there are consequences to suffer." Maki said. You always liked seeing Maki fight especially when she told you her reason why she became a sorcerer.
"One more time, please!" Yuta begged.
"Hey, Y/n-chan, come here." Maki said, bringing your focus back on her.
"You couldn't do this move before when I tried to teach you, so watch closely, alright?"
"Of course" You gave her a lazy grin knowing the move she is talking about.
"YUTA! COME OVER HERE!!"
"Eh? That sounds urgent, I'll train with Maki-chan in your absence." You pat his back and walk towards Maki with your hands in your pockets and smirk at her.
"Eh, the move you wanted me to learn... is easier to master if you're extremely flexible, right, Maki?"
"Ideally, yes, however-" You sprinted towards your friend and before Maki could stop you, you put your hands on her shoulders. You used Maki to hoist yourself in the air and then flipped over her. As you landed, you swept Maki's legs out from under her and successfully knocked her to the ground. You grinned down at Maki while offering a hand.
