Sometimes, her mind would often wonder off to a fantasy world. She would dream of a beautiful sunset fading away in front of her while she sat on the edge of a cliff. It was often just a daydream of her; alone and peaceful and feeling happiness throughout her whole body. Every time she would drift off to this fantasy place, she felt like she was in heaven but she never felt at home. The only time Ellie ever truly felt at home was when he was in her daydreams. It was always the same; she would sit on the cliff, watching the sunset before his arms wrapped around her. He would always say the same thing, "I miss you so much".

And every time she would wake up, a strange ache in her heart would cause her to let tears break out of her eyes and down onto her hot, pink cheeks.

It had been two years, and he was still on her mind.

She hated it, every ounce of it. Every dream that he was in was painful, and yet they felt the safest. She felt like if she fell off that cliff, he would catch her, but when she'd awake, it would all be the same. She would be back in her apartment, surrounded by painted over walls and windows that lacked curtains. She would always look out that window and stare down at the bustling streets of Oregon.

Moving to Oregon was supposed to break the 'spell' Fuckshit had casted upon Ellie's heart. She wanted to forget everything that had happened 2 years ago. She wanted to start fresh.

Normally, she would've just gone back to sleep after contemplating calling Ray - he had been the only one Ellie had stayed in contact with, but he never once spoke about Fuckshit. It always made Ellie worry that he had died in a ditch somewhere, but she knew Ray was just trying to keep her on her feet instead of falling back into the dark place she once was in.

It was only one night that things had changed. She hadn't gone back to sleep after an hour. Her body had never been more awake as her phone rang.

She had quickly picked it up, thinking it was her big brained boss asking her for God knows what.

When she had turned the phone over, an unknow number sat bright on her screen.

"I don't want anything, stop calling my pho-"

"Not even your best friend? You're still my best friend even though you moved 10 hours away" Estee.

"Es? Oh my God... I-I didn't know it was you"

"Yeah well.. I missed you a lot so Ray gave me your new number"

Ellie had mentally slapped herself when Estee said that, she felt as if she had just thrown Estee away, but it was never like that. Ellie had moved away and when she did, she had never seen Estee so mad. Estee stopped talking to her for almost two months after she moved before Ellie forced Ray to force Estee to speak with her. After that, something happened with Estee that made her grow 'too busy' with Ellie and she still hadn't told Ellie what had happened.

"I'm sorry, Estee.. I should've kept in contact with you better"

"No Els, its okay. I was a bitch and I... I was just upset that I was being left her with these bums"

"Well.. how are you-"

"Ellie I want you to come home for summer. Please? Last summer was so boring without you, I don't even see the guys anymore"

Ellie didn't need to hear anything else. She'd never wanted to go back to Cali more than she did in that moment. Hearing it from someone else seemed to click something in her mind; like the 'approval' from Estee fixed Ellie's indecisiveness.

Estee said no more after that. Ellie was going back; she was just praying that she could avoid him.

hi guys ;)
