Mumbo and Scar rushed back to the hospital, after receiving news from Elenore. Bursting through the door, Mumbo panted, his good wing spread out slightly. He looked up to the startled Elenore- and the surprised Grian....

"When on earth did you get here?! How come you never answered my texts or calls?!" He asked.

Grian blinked. "When ever did you do that?" He asked, pulling out his phone. "Oh my gosh- One hundred thirty two messages and seventeen calls?! My phone isn't even on silent! I should have heard all that!" He said, eyes wide as a plate. "I'm so sorry Mumbo, if I had known I would have gone to find you!" He said, standing up and going over.

"Where did you go anyway?" Mumbo asked.

Grian opened his mouth then closed it, looking to the side. "I can't quite say.... But it is definitely watcher related. So it is anything but good." He said, looking back to Mumbo.

"Why can't you say?"

"Because they're watching."

Scar bit his lip. "So I'm not the only one that feels it?"

Elenore shook her head. "I can too... They are always watching. What are they up to this time?" She asked.

"Possibly something far worse than what happened at the college..." Grian said, looking toward Elenore.

"Is there not anything we can do about it?" Scar asked.

"We're still waiting for Etho. He's still- uh... Watching. So maybe he'll update us soon?" Mumbo asked.

"Maybe, hopefully." Scar said.

"Hopefully." Grian repeated. Hopefully...

Along the side walk the boys walked, talking lightly. Scar rolled along a little behind Grian, looking over his fabric wings again. Finally they were gonna see if they could get Grian's wings repaired. "It really doesn't look worn out, but maybe it was just the position... the weight or, something when you last used them. Garven is better at this than I am though, he might know the exact reason why it tore." Scar said.

"I don't really mind not knowing exactly why it tore. I'd rather just get them fixed." Grian said. He looked up and ahead, then slowed down and walked through the door, their presence announced by the common 'ding' of a bell.

"Ah, welcome Scar and friends! Grian! Pleasure to meet you." Garven said, shaking Grian's hand. Grian smiled slightly. "I assume your elevator ride up here was good?" he asked.

Grian chuckled. "It was just like any other elevator ride."

Garven chuckled. "As expected, as expected. Now turn around so I can see those wings." he said.

Grian turned his back toward the store keeper, and glanced to his friends. Mumbo put a hand to his mouth stifling a chuckle. Scar grinned. Grian raised an eyebrow and looked up slightly upon noticing his friends weren't looking at him, but above him. He then turned back around slightly and folded his arms as he chuckled, Garven quickly moving his hand behind his back.

"I wasn't doing anything." Garven said. Grian laughed and shook his head, turning back around.

Garven chuckled and checked over Grian's fabric wing, gently grabbing it and lifting it to get a closer look. "Hm... It is no normal tear. It looks like someone tried to tear it... Pull at it maybe? It could just be the force of gravity though, depending on what you were doing when this happened." he said. Grian nodded.

"But nonetheless, this is something I can easily fix." Garven said, letting go and returning behind the front desk. He bent down, grabbing a small box from a shelf beneath the counter.

"With a little bit of handywork, I can have it as good as new. Go ahead and set the wings here." he said, gesturing to the desk after setting down the box to go through it.

Grian nodded and took off his fake wings, setting them down. Garven thanked him, then quickly got to work.

"......And... done!" Garven said after some time. He held up the wings and examined them, then pulled at them a little to test them. "Good good. All fixed!" He smiled. He handed them back to Grian, who then put the wings back on. Grian rolled his shoulders slightly and smiled.

"Thank you!" Grian said. He shook hands with Garven again, then started back to the door with his friends.

"Should we go test them out now?" Mumbo asked. "See if they hold up?" he chuckled.

Grian smiled. "I'd like to, but I'd rather wait for when your wings are all healed up so we can all fly together." he said.

Mumbo smiled slightly. "Alright, sounds good to me." he said.

Peacefully they all slept that night. No nightmares, no terrible memories... nothing odd happening... All was well. All was good. All was... creeping a little closer to danger...

"Soon..." Zeqain said. "Soon, in a few days, there shall be... fire..."

The next morning, something a little surprising happened. Shocking all the doctors and nurses, Elenore got up and stretched. Really, it didn't seem all that big of a deal, but after just barely having a week to heal after breaking a few bones and such, it was a strange and interesting sight to see. Normally one would need at least another week or few before they'd be healed enough to be released. Yet out of the building Elenore walked, all her x-rays and scans coming back positive and good. She seemed to have just suddenly healed up the rest of the way over night, and however that happened, she was grateful. Laying in bed for so long made her sore, and her entire body ached for much movement.

"Elenore- I can't believe you're out already!" Grian said, hurrying up to her.

"I can't believe you've healed so fast." Scar commented.

"It has been how long, six days? And you've healed completely?" Mumbo asked. "That's incredible!"

Elenore laughed slightly, her things Grian had gotten her in the bag she held. "I'm just glad I can breathe pain free without meds!" she said. Walking down the sidewalk, the boys followed.

"I wish I could heal that fast. My wings are cramping a little." Mumbo chuckled. He stretched out his good wing and yawned.

"Mumbo- are you still tired?" Grian asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Well, I mean, you just woke me up so we could come see Elenore. I'm not sure if I've completely waken up yet." Mumbo chuckled.

"Yes," Scar chuckled. "You were in a little bit of a rush."

Grian smiled and rolled his eyes.

Elenore giggled, shaking her head slightly. "You boys."

Silence, then, for a long few minutes... an amusing silence. And then Scar suddenly spoke up.

"...Race you guys back to Grian's house!" He said, suddenly zipping past them turning his wheels as fast as he could.

"Hey- Scar! Wait for me!" Mumbo said, running after him.

Elenore and Grian laughed, soon jogging to catch up. "Don't forget me! It's my house after all!" Grian shouted.

Soon... fire as dark as a wolfsbane flower shall spread, burning the beauty these humans loved... Soon, fire a raging orange, shall bring down buildings of all sizes... Soon, a fire burning so great with corrupt love, shall break many hearts... a fire so deep, so cold, it will burn all those who have touched it...

But in the end...

It will also be the very thing...

To heal...
