Tape 3: Side B

MONETS- PRESENT

Sheri and Clay at Monet's coffee shop taking out their things and placing it on the table.

SHERI: Thank you so much for taking time to help me with this.

CLAY: No I'm glad it's cool. I've been working on this project, and I could use a break.

SHERI: This book is a break?

CLAY: Well helping you.

Clay leaning down grabbing his wallet from his bad.

CLAY: I'll go get coffee. Um, what's your drink?

SHERI: Double mocha with extra whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles please.

Clay walks up to the counter to see Sky working again.

SKY: How May I help you, sir?

CLAY: Uh- hey Sky. Um, Triple Americano, and a double mocha with extra little chocolate sprinkles.

       Jeff snorts and says "Dude, you got it wrong."

      "I didn't have my wing man that's why."

SKYE: Extra little chocolate sprinkles?

She looks to see Sheri sitting at the table he was previously sitting at.

SKY: Got it.

She starts making the coffee.

SKYE: So you into cheerleaders now? It's you and Carrie?

       "She likes you. Just won't admit it." Jeff said slowly to Clay as if he wouldn't understand it. "Also Sheri? She makes me want to revoke my no hitting girls rule for what she did to Cassie."

      "Hey! I didn't know it at the time. Also, what about Courtney?! Another also, what about what she did to you?!" Clay said.

      Ron and Harry getting curious say "What did Sheri do?" But end up getting ignored unintentionally.

      "Her too." Jeff shakes his head and continues "What could've happened to Cassie was worse than what happened to me."

     "What could've been worse than what happened to you, Jeffy? Nothing!" Cassie said to the person she saw as her older brother.

     "I- Butterfly I physically can't say it. I- I can't remember. I know that it was important and I- I told the doctors I would tell you. Bu- but I couldn't. I can't remember." Jeff said looking down.

     Cassie smiles at him. "It's okay. We'll probably watch it. Thank you Jeffy for always being my first protector." He smiles and kisses her cheek.

CLAY: Sheri.

SKYE: You guys make a cute couple. You can go sigh her to Abercrombie and watch her try on pre-distressed jeans shorts and gladiator sanders.

CLAY: That was oddly specific. 

SKYE: I just- I didn't think you were the cheerleader type.

CLAY: She's a nice girl.

        Clay shakes his head "No she's not."

SKYE: So you only like nice girls?

CLAY: That's not what I said-

SKYE: I just thought you were cooler than- a Sheri.

He turns.

HANNAH (V.O):
I waited for you, Marcus.
