Valtteri's POV:

She fell asleep in my arms last night, almost instantly. I, too, was tired, so I must have passed out shortly after. When I woke up, my arm was numb, but seeing her peacefully lying there with closed eyes, lost in pleasant dreams, made up for any discomfort. Even without her sparkling eyes visible, she still looked stunning. There was never a moment when she didn't.

She is just so gorgeous. Every. Single. Part. Of. Her.

I didn't want to disturb her, but I was feeling slightly warm, so I carefully slipped my top over my head, making sure not to wake her. Then I awkwardly struggled to remove my jeans, nearly falling off the bed in the process. She stirred slightly, and I glanced at her, worried she might wake up, but she settled back into her slumber.

I gently stroked her hair as I watched her sleep peacefully. Is that creepy? Some people might think so, I suppose. But how can I not admire her when she looks so serene? Besides, she's lying on my arm, so I'm kind of stuck here anyway, not that I'm complaining.

She's the kind of girl who has that effect on a man. The kind of girl I would eagerly introduce to my parents at Christmas, the one I would want to buy a house with, even marry—and yet, she's not even my girlfriend yet.

I know it sounds strange to imagine all that, but I've felt this way since the moment I met her. Her eyes spoke more to me than words ever could, and I've never been so captivated by a woman in my life. Sure, I thought Emilia was the love of my life when I married her, but Y/N seems to have brought forth all those feelings I had over the years with just one glance.

My thoughts were interrupted by the creaking of the door. I guess we forgot to lock it last night. Max walked in and froze when he saw Y/N curled up in my arms. Oh, shit. Does he know?

"Oh you are here." He said coldly, furrowing his brows.

"Uhh ye. She kinda fell asleep on me she was knackered so i was stuck. Its ok though I'm guessing you came to wake her." I replied.

"Hmm." He said crossing his arms as i nudged Y/N so she stirred and began to wake up.

I planted a gentle kiss on her forehead, grabbed my clothes, and quickly put them on before passing Max on my way to the door. He gave me a strange stare, but I continued walking and let out a sigh as I stepped out of the room.

Your POV:

"Oh, shit. Max, why are you here?" I exclaimed, clutching the towel that was still covering me as I sat up in bed.

"Well, we have a meeting in two hours, so I came to wake you up so we could grab breakfast," he replied matter-of-factly.

"What meeting?" I yawned, noticing Valtteri was no longer beside me.

"You know, the pre-race debrief. The important one where we go over what the hell we're supposed to do?"

"Oh, right, yeah," I said, getting out of bed.

He gave me a curious look as I stood up, hastily readjusting the towel around me.

"What's gotten into you?" I teased, flicking him and laughing.

He turned on his heels without saying another word and slammed the door behind him, causing the wine in the glass on the floor to shake and me to wince.

What's his problem?

He avoided me for the rest of the day, purposely going in the opposite direction whenever our paths crossed. During the debrief, he sat in the corner sulking, his PR manager poking him as his input was much needed. But he would refuse and simply roll his eyes.
