A few months later...
After Regina had settled in in the castle with her father and sister it was finally time for her and Robin to get married and for her to be crowned queen. The young girl was very nervous but she knew it would all be alright since she had people who loved and supported her. Even Cora was willing to change for her and Zelena and had given up her magic to prove to them all that she was serious about it.
Right now she was getting ready for the wedding with the help of her chamber maids and her sister and cousin and her aunt Cora. It was still strange to her that she had maids now to dress her and do her hair for her when she had done that by herself for most of her life. She got dressed into the wedding gown and watched herself in a mirror while Cora tied the bodice for her.
"You look just like our mother. She would be so proud of you." Snow said as she watched her sister and a tear slipped from her eyes. The wedding gown had been their mother's and Regina looked so beautiful in it.
Regina took Snow's hand and smiled at her. "You really think so?" She asked softly. She wished she could have met her mother but they couldn't change the past. What was done was done. They had to live in the present.
Snow nodded and adjusted Regina's necklace slightly. She also wished their mother was still there and Regina could have grown up with her but they really couldn't change the past.
When they were finally done Regina was brought to the chapel and walked down the aisle with her father and Cora. It was her wish to have Cora walk her down since she had raised her despite everything else that had happened. She smiled happily as she saw Robin on the other side of the chapel. A tear slipped her eyes too. She loved him so much and was so glad that they were finally getting married.
Robin was in awe as he watched Regina. He was so happy everything had turned out well in the end and they could be together after all. The young prince also had tears in his eyes as he saw his beautiful bride. He loved her so very much. He took her hands when she was given to him by her father and smiled so brightly at her. "I love you." He whispered and kissed her cheek.
"I love you too. " she whispered and wiped her tears away as the ceremony started. They gave their vows and said their 'I do's when asked.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife."
Robin smiled and kissed Regina for the first time as her husband. He was so happy and in love.
Cora had to wipe a few tears away from her cheeks too as she watched Regina and Robin. Regina was her little girl. She had raised her even if her motives for taking her had been very evil and selfish. She would always consider Regina her daughter too. She took Zelena's hand and gave it a slight squeeze. She had done so much wrong with Regina and Zelena but she hoped that one day they could find it in them to forgive her. It would certainly be a long way before she really redeemed herself.
"It's alright. Now she is truly happy." Zelena told her mother and gave her a soft, reassuring smile. She was happy for Regina and Robin and hoped that one day she would find true love like they had too.
"That's true." Cora replied and smiled. She really hoped everything would turn well and Regina and Robin would have a long and happy life.
Regina bend down when the mirror if truth pronounced her the rightful heir and was crowned queen of the Northern Kingdom and Robin was crowned as her king. She wasn't sure she was ready to reign but she knew she had her father to guide her for now. The young queen had found her happiness and she was sure Zelena would find happiness soon too.
They would always have a strong connection and Regina was sure they would all have a long and happy life together as a family.
