I was finishing up my application, sweat running down the side of my head then I saw the button "Submit" my hands feeling like their going to turn into raisins any second I submit the application "Thank you for your application we'll get back to you within 4 days - 2 weeks!" Now all I could do is wait.

I waited staring at the screen waiting as if some was going to happen right then and there, I stared for another 3 minutes until I got myself together and told myself I needed to go to sleep, it was late anyway.

I barely feel asleep because I couldn't stop thinking about it, when I feel asleep I dreamed about it. I was on set while Austin was getting a touch up and me and him locked eyes for about 20 seconds and until I got too nervous and had to look down, him smiling at me.

Even thought it hadn't become reality yet, that dream gave me hope that I was going to be on that set soon.

~ A week later ~

I had just gotten off work and I got an email notification from the casting company. When I saw it my heart starting pounding and screaming to get out of my body, I didn't even want to open the email.

After an hour of hesitation and debating, I sucked it up and got the courage to open the email! "Hello Y/N, your application has been approved to be an extra in the movie ELVIS. Below we have sent the schedule for times and dates you will be needed on set and the day you will be fitted for your costume(s). We are so excited to have you, have a nice day!"

I was feeling so many emotions and I shocked, nervous, happy, all sorts of things. It took everything in me to not scream and cry at the same time! 2 months from today I was going to on set with THE Austin Butler.

~ 2 months pass ~

Today is the first day of shooting, it felt like forever and blink of an eye at the same time, not like I've been counting down the days or anything like that. I'd already been fitted for a costume prior to this day so all I had to do was arrive on set, put on the costume, do my makeup and then let the crew do the hair. My dress fit my perfectly, the material hugged my body in a way that made me look and feel great, I've never really been into vintage fashion, but I sure am loving it right now.

I spent an hour on my makeup, even though we're still in the time period where Elvis is young, and I'm supposed to be a teenager and was told to a simple 50s makeup look I wanted to make sure it was absolutely perfect, nothing out of place. Then hair, the crew are trained professionals so of course it was perfect.

I was done, the full look was complete. I and everyone else needed was called on to shoot the first scene. Walking over in my wide skirt dress and Bettie Page shoes, I felt like my legs were about to give out on me. Even though it wasn't a huge part, that camera was going to be on me at some point and I knew if they had seen me looking nervous it would show and the viewers would notice.

I sucked it up, shook my hands and feet out and went into the audience to shoot. We were shooting a scene where Elvis was performing, and his fans were jumping, screaming and yelling. As I saw how amazing Austin was all those emotions stopped being acting and became genuine, even though he was Elvis and not Austin he still looked beautiful up there and made me fall in love with him. We shot that scene around 10 times and after that boy I was tired, I stayed in few scenes I just needed to walk by him, after we were done for the day.

"Alright guys! Great work today! You're free to go!" Says Baz Luhrmann (the director)

I left the scene at about 1am, checked my phone for when the next buses were coming, my heart dropped when I realized they weren't. From 1-5am every day, buses don't run. As everyone else when back to change and get home as fast as they could, I sat there trying to wait out the time and let it get a little lighter out. It seemed everyone in the studio had left except a few producers and janitor's. I was on the verge of tears, I was exhausted, tired and hungry. I wanted to go home so bad, but I couldn't, walking at that time alone in the city by myself is dangerous, I couldn't  possibly risk that. I hear footsteps coming from the left side of me, I kept my head down, assuming the person was going to be a janitor telling me I need to leave.

"Okay, I'm going, just give me a minute." I said with a shaky voice

"Hey, are you doing okay?" Said a deep familiar voice

I looked up and it was Austin.
