'*•.¸♡ chapter twelve ♡¸.•*'

I Yelled, falling into a white abyss.

Before it engulfed me, i saw shadows moving at the top.

Blacking out for a moment, i woke up gasping.

'A.. hospital room?' I thought, looking around.

I was wearing a hospital gown, and there was a heart monitor beeping beside me.

'Thats what i heard!' I thought.

There was some things that I remember from my 'dream'. Like the heart monitor, and random white lights.

The random white lights were what i assumed the doctor was shining a light into my face, maybe..

I stared at the ceiling for a while, getting my thoughts together before the door opened and i sat up to look.

I was just a nurse

"O-oh! Your awake!" She perked, looking at me. I nodded, confused.

"You have people wanting to come in, is that okay?" She asked, and i perked. Though a little hesitant, i agreed.

She let the people in, and i saw Scaramouche walk in first. Followed by childe.

"Your awake." Scaramouche noticed, and childe widened his eyes.

"I THOUGHT YOU WERE GONNA DIE!" Childe yelled, hugging me.

While hugging me, i felt him sob. I chuckled, then patted his head lightly.

"Loosen your grip, childe." Zhongli pulled on his arm a little, and i felt him slightly loosen a little.

I sighed, hugging him back. I then looked around, seeing it was only childe zhongli and Scaramouche.

"Wheres albedo?" I asked, looking at Scaramouche.

Scaramouche thought for a moment, then checked his phone.

"Don't worry, he's on his way. Just had to do something at his lab."

I nodded, then continued to hug the crying childe.

For  while we just talked, I haven't asked how i got here yet. Mainly because i wanted to ask when albedo got here.

They did tell me that childe and zhongli started dating.

"You did? Im so happy for you!" I smiled, looking at childe who was blushing slightly.

Zhongli nodded, and I realized they were holding hands. Before i could point that out, the door opened and there stood albedo.

"(Y/n)..?" He softly asked, shutting the door.

I smiled, then nodded. And soon enough he came running up and hugged me.

Though I couldn't tell if he was crying or not, I could tell he was worried.

I didn't know how long i was in that state, but im assuming a while.

"Now, tell me. What happened..?" I asked when albedo let go of me, stepping a little back.

Scaramouche sighed, looking at me.

"The mission kaeya gave you, he shouldn't have given you that. The lady who stabbed you, her code name is 'La signora'."

I nodded, listening closely.

Childe and zhongli listened as well, since Scaramouche didn't care wether or not outsiders knew what we did.

"So she stabbed you, and I found that you had went unconscious." I looked at Scaramouche. "Where did the- signora, go?" I asked, and the room went silent.

"She quickly fled, too fast for us." Albedo stepped in, crossing his arms. I simply nodded, worried at where she was now.

There was a knock at the door, and a person in a white coat walked in. 

The person asked Scaramouche over, and I didn't hear but they were talking about something.

I looked at my (H/l) hair, seeing it was quite messy.

"Alright, thanks." Scaramouche nodded, and the person walked out.

He turned to me, seeming more calm then before.

"You'll be able to leave in a couple days, 2 at most." He explained, and i perked.

Albedo had been pretty quiet, and i was slightly worried.

"We have to go now, goodnight (Y/n)." Scaramouche waved goodbye, then left.

Childe gave me one last hug, then walked out. Zhongli made sure i was okay, then left.

Now it was just me and albedo.

I had remembered our last talk together, and i frowned.

"Im sorry i-"

"You could've died, (Y/n)." Albedo started, looking at me.

I was surprised there was tears in his eyes, since i never realized how much this affected everyone.

"Why didn't you ask for help..?" He asked, taking a step forward.

I looked at the floor, not knowing what to say.

"Say something, (Y/n)!" He slightly yelled, tears falling.

I looked at him, seeing the fear in his eyes.

"I thought it was gonna be a simple mission, but.. i was wrong." I sighed.

"It should of been an easy one."

I realized albedo was now standing beside my hospital bed, and i sighed.

Albedo was staring at me, and we locked eyes. 

"(Y/n), please remember your not alone here." He frowned, and I slightly chuckled.

"This is the most you've said my name." I smiled, and we both bursted into small giggles.

I waved goodbye to albedo, looking around the room once the door closed.

It was scary, really. What happened was still a blur in my head, but i do remember the file.

"The file..!" I gasped, frantically looking around. I soon saw that someone placed the file on a chair next to my bed.

Leaning down, i grabbed it and instantly noticed a note on the front.

'To (Y/n).'
