Suicide Silence

Chapter 1: Intro

"BLEEP, BLEEP, BLEEP!” the moment the alarm began its incessant trilling, my arm shot out and knocked it off of the bedside table. I rolled over and pulled the blankets up and over my head and began to doze again until I remembered that today was my first day of school. More importantly, it was in this new city. My family and I had recently moved from his childhood home of Albany, New York, and were currently residing in Gatlin, South Carolina. Why so far you ask? I had a lot of distant family members that lived there, and my mother was getting homesick after all the years she'd spent away. There were more reasons though. Reasons concerning me and my well-being. You see, I had been bullied relentlessly because of the way I looked and because of my social habits, and to make matters worse, someone had spread a rumor that I'd had some twisted vendetta against everyone and was going to get his revenge. From then on the bullying only increased, it really hurt, and I just couldn't take it anymore. It got so bad, that I began self-harming. The voices in my head became louder than ever and I attempted suicide. A scare like that left my older brother confused, worried, and angry. Confused at the fact that I'd never told him what was going on, worried that it might happen again if he didn't do something, and angry with the school board for not reprimanding the children that had caused me so much emotional and physical damage. Ever since the unfortunate event in which my father was snatched out of our lives, I was all he had and he'd do anything to protect me. Rolling out of bed, I sighed, thinking of the torture today would bring. I peeked at the alarm and was rather confused when it read back "5:00 AM". Oh well, I was fully awake now.
