"Bain?...Bain!"i called out we were playing tag on the docks and I always manage to lose him "behind you"he said I turned around and he stood there smiling

"Your it"i said before tagging him and running off I ran till I couldn't see him then climbed onto his roof and laid there a few minutes later Bains mom came up to see me

"He sill out there looking for you ?"she asked I nodded "right well go on home I tell him yah did"she said i smiled and slid down on to the railing and hopped down on the porch I hugged her carefully since she was pregnant and went home

When I woke up it was still dark out I laid in bed on my side staring at Bain thinking of when we were kids and how simple everything was he opened his eyes and looked at me "can't sleep"he asked "I dreamt about the last time I saw your mum"i said

He looked at his feet "sorry"i said "it's okay I'm just tired"he said "yeah me too"i said "do you think Da's found them yet?"he asked looking back up at me "bard can do anything if he sets his mind to it"i said trying to make him feel better
