Meeting Up with Anna Once Again

As soon as I had cleaned myself up and gotten dressed, I almost instantly began thinking about just what I was about to do upon leaving that very bathroom. I was just about to go and face Anna, the princess of Arendelle. The same Princess Anna who had sucker punched her own traitorous fiancé right in the face and toppled him off of the ship on which we all were. The same Princess Anna who had gone into the blizzard that literally froze in time to look for me; me and only me. Indeed, it was the exact same Princess Anna who was engaged to another no more and had even started being a lot more tender towards even me.

Could it have been at all possible that Anna had finally begun to return my own feelings back to me? I mean, there was certainly the way she had been smiling at me back on the ship just following when her sister, Elsa, had finally found it within her to thaw the eternal winter onto which she had cast over Arendelle, itself, just a few days prior. There was also the way she had even looked at me by that very moment following what will more than likely forever be known throughout Arendelle's history as 'The Great Thaw'. There was even the way Anna had talked to me following 'The Great Thaw'.

Granted, had only happened once with the two of us on our journey just after that one time which Anna and I had fallen off of that two-hundred-foot high cliff and onto the snow that was just below us. Boy, did I ever remember feeling all that heat. I had even known that all of the heat that I had felt certainly was not coming from anywhere around the two of us during that time.

I supposed that only time would tell if there were any such truth to such an idea at all. I just opened the door in a flash and began to walk right out of the bathroom only for the door to bump into Princess Anna of Arendelle, herself. She then stumbled backwards and crashed into a passing maid with a cart, which in turn had propelled her stumbling forwards and landing right straight onto my chest just after I held my arms out to catch her.

Now do not get any ideas on thinking that such an interaction with the princess of Arendelle was any kind of romantic hold, because it was anything except for that. Anna's face was completely squashed against my chest and one of her hands had been flung over my shoulder with the other hanging limply at her side. I had apparently caught her by her shoulders before we fell. "Whoa! Anna!" I just exclaimed to her. "Are you OK?"

Anna pulled her face off of my chest. Then, the two of us both got up from being down on the floor, and she finally looked up at me thereafter. She looked sort of like she had been a tad dazed. After getting hit in the face by a door, I could hardly blame her if she was. "Kristoff? Wha?" she said while still a bit dazed. She stared up at me for a moment, still trying to process just what had happened to her at the time. "Yeah. I'm good, actually. Yeah. I just didn't expect for a door to open up on me and hit me in the face, is all."

At that, I just could not help but crack a small smile. "Tell me, princess; are you always as graceful as what had happened just now?" I asked her.

I should have known her better than to think that Princess Anna would not have a comeback of any kind to what I had asked her. "And are you always so rude as to not apologize to someone into who's face you had just slammed a door open?" she asked me in obvious retaliation for my comment. I think she took my comment on her clumsiness as an insult or the kind of thing she probably would have expected from the real 'Hans', if anything about him had been real at all in the first place.

Anna still cracked a slight joking smile at me directly following her comeback. I immediately understood thereafter that the apology was all that she had really wanted from me. I was only too happy to oblige to her wishes. "OK, OK. I guess you didn't deserve to have a door slammed into your face, and I'm very sorry for it, your highness," I told her. I just chuckled a bit thereafter.

Princess Anna of Arendelle, herself, giggled a little, clearly having got my good-natured joke. That was just about when I had suddenly realized that I was still holding onto her shoulders and just as immediately released her from my grip on them. Anna, herself, stepped backwards upon that very same realization. We just stared at one another from right where we were for a second or two. For one reason or another, it had reminded me so much of our little staring contest from back when we had fallen off the cliff from the Ice Palace constructed by the snow queen just after being thrown out of by that gigantic, hulking snowbeast to whom Olaf had ironically given the name 'Marshmallow'. I know, why 'Marshmallow'?

Then, there was that heat coming out of what had felt like nowhere again. I just could not find it in myself to look away from Anna or her gorgeous blue eyes at the time which seemed to be tinted with undertones of a green of some sort.

"Oh, I just remembered; I have something for you, Kristoff," Anna told me after just a few seconds of the two of us just staring at one another.

Really? The princess of Arendelle had something more for me? What else could she possibly have to give me? I just looked at her to find out the answer. "What is it?" I asked Anna.

She just grinned mischievously at my question, however, before simply telling me, "Oh, Kristoff, it's a surprise." Then, she held up a long strip of grey cloth. "First, put this on," she told me.

I frowned at Anna over the cloth strip. "What in the______ Why should I put it on?" I asked the semi-blonde redhead at my side.

"Well, it wouldn't be much of a surprise if you had your eyes open on the way to finally getting it, now would it?" Anna asked.

I guess that it really would not have been as much of a surprise if I could see it on the way to the surprise than if Anna were the one directing me to it. So, I just smirked, took the blindfold and wrapped it around my head over my eyes. "OK," I said the minute I finished tying the knot of the blind fold. "What IS the surprise?" I asked Anna.

"Come with me, and you'll find out," she told me.

And with that, she pulled onto my arm and sped across somewhere in which I did not know where we were going... and at top speed, too. I had to say that I had never seen her as excited as she was at the time... or should I have said 'not seen', since I still had my blind fold on during all that time being dragged along by Anna. We did manage to go quite a distance, however, as we walked along wherever we were. Just where were we even going at the time of which she was dragging me along wherever, and exactly what surprise did she even want to show me?
