Galaxy Nite was a formidable creature; fierce, loyal, level-headed, and strong-willed. She had risen to the position of student council president within 3 days of arriving at the academy and nearly misplaced Marisol as Princess of the school 5 times. Marisol knew that she had to tread lightly around her. She was one of two persons who had the ability to destroy her, the other had walked off in the opposite direction to her.

Though in reality, Gal was not as competitive or ruthless as Marisol would have most believe. She was laid back, calm, fun, and a hardworking girl from a not-so-popular community in a country, 18 degrees north and 77 degrees west. Yes, she was fierce, loyal, strong-willed, rose to student council president real quick, and nearly kicked Marisol down the social ladder many times but she was also kind, patient, humorous, and compassionate. She could accomplish anything she set her mind to. Well, all except earning a relaxing trip to the headmaster's private island.

Her eyes twitched as she stared at the ranking board. All she had to do was get into the top 10 to be considered for the trials and then the top three for exclusivity on the island.

She sighed as a chill ran down her spine. She was born in close proximity to a beach and would visit every day. She missed the water dearly.

"Keep on dreaming, Nightingale," a deep albeit bored voice said from behind her.

"I don't remember asking for your input, Kilimanjaro," she snapped at him.

"Alright, though staring at it won't magically put you on top," he told her.

She knew he was right. She needed points to get to the top, merits. In order to get merits she had to be perfect in class, which meant scoring the highest grades but she was also in charge of the welfare of every student in the academy, which meant she had twice the work of everyone else. She wasn't scoring the highest in any of her classes but she was doing well just not well enough, which lead to Kilm's next question.

"Look I don't have all day, are we going to study or what?" He asked impatiently.
The 6ft 3inches, a classic alpha male figure with major anger issues, who happens to skip all his classes, held the platinum name at the top of the board.
Gal shook her head and rolled her eyes.

"You know technically, I am still your superior," said the light skin girl with frazzled curls.

Kilm stared down at her 5 ft 6' figure and arched a brow.

"Size isn't everything," she said pointedly.

"You tell your boyfriend that," he said with an amused look in his eyes.

Galaxy gasped and almost hit him but restrained herself when one of her professors walked by.

"Let's find an empty classroom," she grumbled and began walking. They were on their third room when Kilm decided to ditch her, telling her that she should text him when he's got one.
Galaxy searched the entire fourth floor before moving to the staircase to check the fifth floor. She braces herself against the railing and glanced up to see Kilm sitting on the stairs smoking.

"Seriously," she whisper yelled jogging up the stairs.

He only stared at her blankly and glanced through the window next to him. He could see the endless lines of trees surrounding the school. A perfect prison in the middle of nowhere. Only it was this perfect prison that protected so many students, but it could only protect them for so long. Kilm dreaded that day. He also knew that it was catching up to him.

"What's it like," Galaxy asked staring.

"What's what like," Kilm retorted.

"The shadows, you know that thing you do when you teleport," she said.
