A few days since returning to Earth, on January 19th, Mario sat down on his bed in his house in the Mushroom Kingdom while Meggy was in Inkopolis and looked down at a small black box. Inside was a 23 karat diamond ring. He was feeling nervous about him proposing to her.
Mario: How do I do this. What if she says no.
He started to sweat as he grew more nervous about Meggy.
Mario: I need some help.
He then pulls out his cell phone and calls SY35.
SY35: Hello?
Mario: SY? It's me.
SY35: Oh hey, Mario. What's up?
Mario: Can you please come over to my house in a few minutes?
SY35: Sure. Why?
Mario: I need your help with something.
SY35: Ok, I'll be there in 15 minutes.
Mario: See ya then.
He then ends the call as he sets his phone on the bed, as well as the black box. He then looks at the mess that was all over his room.
Mario: I should clean up a little before he gets here.
He then gets off the bed as he picks up some newspapers that were scattered all over the floor and tossed them in the trash. About 15 minutes later, a knock was at the door. Mario walks over to the door and opens up to a crack.
Mario: Oh thank goodness you are here.
SY35: Uh yeah. Why did you need me?
Mario: Come inside and I'll tell you.
He opens the door all the way and allows him to walk in. He then walked over to his bed, grabbed the box, walks back out to the living room, sits in the couch, and looks down at the box.
SY35: So what seems to be the problem?
Mario then opens the box. SY35 gasps.
SY35: Is that a ring?
Mario: Yes. I think it's time to make this official with Meggy. How did you do it with Desti?
SY35: Me? I serenaded her in DC with my guitar.
Mario: What does that mean?
SY35: I sang and played her a love song in front of a water fountain.
Mario: I don't know if I can do that.
SY35: It's simple and easy. If you really want her to say yes, take her out to a nice fancy dinner. After that, take her for a walk in the park, like at 9:30, 10:00 at night, find a good place to stop, and just express your feelings to her by a smooth and slow love song. Remember, you don't have to do it exactly like I did.
Mario: Ok. Let me get ready for tonight.
SY35 gets up and goes to the front door and was about to leave.
Mario: Thank you for your advice.
SY35: Anytime pal. Go get that girl.
Mario: You got it!
SY35 walks out of his house as Mario picks up his phone and calls Meggy.
Meggy: Hello?
Mario: Hi Meggy.
Meggy: Hi, Red. What's up?
Mario: I was just wondering if you wanted to have dinner together tonight.
Meggy: Really? I'd love to!
Mario: Ok, meet me at the castle in 45 minutes.
Meggy: Ok, see you then! Love you!
Mario: I love you too!
Mario ends the call, then walks in his closet.
Mario: What should I wear?
He then pulls out his fire flower outfit
Mario: Perfect.
