Chapter 1. The Girl of Legend

This is the story of a girl who made her dreams come true, after she came to possess the Seven Stars of Suzaku, and many powers were bestowed upon her. The story itself is a spell, the one who reads it through will be given the powers and granted a wish, just like the girl in the story.

Because the story begins and becomes real the moment the first page is turned.

"Give it up, Icess Kilver."

"You're in high school, studying for your entrance exams! It's not time to sleep!"

"It's time to study, you should be studying!"

"Why aren't you studying?! Study harder, Icess!"

"Your sister did all this easily! Are you really so useless you can't do simple things like this?!"

I gasped as I was woken out of my nightmares by a teacher smacking a textbook against the top of my head. I quickly brought my head off the desk and frantically looked around for a moment, before composing myself as I realized I was in school and had fallen asleep on the surface of my desk.

"Miss. Kilver, can you please stop wasting your time in my class by sleeping and solve this problem instead?" The male teacher glared at me, causing me to sit up straight before standing up and walking to the board to solve the equation written on it.

"Of course sir, my apologies..." As I walked up to the board I could hear some students giggling about my having fallen asleep in class. It was a bit embarrassing, but I brushed it off as best I could. If only my aunt and uncle hadn't been screaming all night, maybe I would have gotten proper sleep... No, stop it Ice. You know your circumstances, this is your fault for not working within your limitations.

After solving the problem on the board flawlessly I walked back to my desk, rubbing the sleepiness out of my eyes. "Are you alright? Should you go to the nurse's office and lay down for a bit, Ice?" I turned as I heard the concerned voice of my best friend, Ferra Everett, who was seated in the desk to the right of mine. I sighed and shook my head, locking my tired violet eyes with her mismatched blue and red ones, which clearly showed worry for me.

"Don't worry about me, Ferra. I'll be fine. I just need to focus is all." I offered a lackluster excuse in response but she seemed to not try to press the issue further, turning her attention back to the teacher as well.

A few hours later classes had wrapped up and I grabbed my school bag to reluctantly make my way home. "Hey, Ice! Do you want to walk home with us for a bit?" An energetic voice called out to me, catching me off guard for a moment before I quickly recognized it and turned around to look at the red head who was bouncing in place in excitement.

"Alright, sure. Why not?" I agreed and her aquamarine eyes lit up in joy as she clung onto me and hugged me tightly. This hyperactive girl was Grace Evans, a girl in the same grade as me, but not the same class. We had become acquainted through Ferra, whom Grace lived with at the moment.

I looked up and saw Ferra leaning against the doorway, a smile on her face as she watched Grace and I interact. She eventually made her way over to us, her long brown hair flowing elegantly behind her as she walked, and gently grabbed Grace's cheek, tugging on it in an attempt to get her off of me.

"Come now, Grace. If you cling to her anymore you'll stunt her growth further." She teased my height and I rolled my eyes.

"Ferra, Grace is only a few inches taller than me." I brushed past the two girls once Grace had released me from her grasp and we all began to exit the classroom together.

"Hey! 5'0 and 5'3 is still a difference, you know? Hehe, besides I don't want my precious Ice to get any taller! I worry it would ruin your cuteness!" Grace fawned over me, causing me to roll my eyes again.
