I sat against the wall, clutching my blazer close to my body as I looked up at the blue haired man who saved me. It was deadly silent as the wind blew around us and I tried to say something, but my voice simply came out as a whimper. He began to make his way towards me and my body tensed with anxiety. "I thought it was you, what are you doing here? It's not safe here." He spoke in a calm voice which helped to calm some of my anxiety as I stood up slowly, my legs shaky as they tried to support me. I guess the threat of dying had affected me more than I thought it would.

"Thank you... again. I was... scared." I admitted as I looked down at the ground, feeling a bit shameful. He reached out and placed his hand on my head, reminding me a bit of something my sister would do when I felt scared back home. "You're safe now, I got rid of 'em. You won't have to worry about that gang anymore." He reassured me and I looked up at him, nodding to show that I was feeling a bit better. "Oh yeah, I heard you were lookin' for me." My eyes widened at his words as I remembered what I had come for in the first place. "You're right, I was. You have to tell me where my friend Ferra is, now!" "Ferra? Who's that?" "My friend! The girl who was with me when we met, remember? I believe she may have followed you." I began to raise my voice as desperation set in. If he didn't know anything... what would I do?

His face lit up in recognition. "Nope! Don't know!" He smiled carelessly and I felt my whole body twitch at his response. "Wh-?!" He waved and began to walk off again. "Buh-bye!" I gritted my teeth in frustration and quickly grabbed his arm as tight as I could to keep him from leaving. "Hold it! I'm serious! Are you trying to make a fool of me?! I'm not letting you go until you tell me something! Anything!" I felt like I was acting childishly, but I couldn't hold back. I'd tear this whole country, no, this whole world apart of I had to, as long as it meant I knew Ferra was safe and sound.

"Okay, okay... I give up." He grumbled and I let go of his arm. "Okay, then tell me. Where is Ferra?" I glared at him as he turned to face me, glaring back at me. "How should I know?" He grinned and began to run off. "See ya!" "Hey! Where do you think you're going?!" I gave chase so I wouldn't lose him again. 'Damnit he's going to help me! I swear!'

We eventually slowed down to a walk but I was still the one pursuing him, him speeding up at times to put more distance between us. "You're the only person I can ask in the whole place and you're trying to avoid me! So would you stop running off like coward?!" My words seemed to finally get through to him as he stopped in his tracks. "You better stop right there, calling me a coward." He turned around and held out his palm. "A man normally gets paid for his services, ya know? So you better pay up, or shut up." I felt my patience with this greedy man begin to snap. "Money, again? Is that all you ever think about?" I crossed my arms in annoyance. "Yeah, pretty much." He threw his arms back behind his head, leaning against them all nonchalant.

"Hmph... I bet if you did find Ferra you'd probably just... sell her off or something." I muttered bitterly but it appeared I wasn't quiet enough as some people in the crowd around us began looking at the man in disgust, clearly taking my offhand remark as the truth. I heard many voices around us calling him a creep and the scum of the earth, an evil smirk made its way across my face but I tried to cover it with my hand. I couldn't care less if this man's reputation got ruined because of a small comment I made. "Oops, I guess they heard that. What do you have to say for yourself, you pig- Mmph!" I was cut off as he covered my mouth and looked around frantically at the crowd passing judgment on him.

"Ahaha! She's just joking, that's all! She does this all the time!" He announced before picking me up in his arms and rushing off, away from the crowd. I squirmed and struggled to get out of his grasp. "Let go of me, you jerk!" "Why can't you just leave me out of all this?!" "Do you want me to go back and run my mouth some more?" He looked pretty pissed at this point. "What are you doing, threatening me?! I swear I don't sell people or anything like that for money!" I rolled my eyes as the obvious statement. "As if I don't already know that."
