"Class is dismissed," the professor announced.
"Well, that's it for today," Lily thought, relieved. She quickly packed her stationary, eager to get home and release the tears that were building up. The academic pressure was no joke.
Imagine studying for a whole week only to receive less than twenty percent on a test.
As she gathered her things, a voice interrupted her thoughts. "Missy fatty," Jordan sneered.
Lily warned her former friend, "Not now, Jordan." Today was not a day for dealing with anyone's negativity. It was Monday, a day that everyone despised. On top of that, the morning incident had already ruined Lily's Day. But what truly devastated her was the disappointing 18% she received on her genetics semester test. If Jordan continued to provoke her, Lily couldn't guarantee her safety.
Annoyed by the lack of attention she received, Jordan poked Lily's thigh and taunted, "Don't you think you should cover up all of this fat?" Lily brushed her off, saying, "Let's discuss this another time," and pushed past her to leave.
Outside the college building, Alessandro leaned against his car, dressed in a white shirt instead of the black one he had worn in the morning. Thanks to Martin, he had to change after making sure the other will never talk or do shit to his doll.
Spotting Lily rushing towards him with tears in her eyes, he immediately asked, "What happened?" Concerned, he gently cupped her cheek.
Lily didn't want anyone from her class, or anyone for that matter, to witness her crying. "Let's go inside first," she replied, and Alessandro nodded, opening the car door for her.
As Alessandro got into the car, Lily's tears were already streaming down her face. Once settled in the driver's seat, Alessandro turned to look at the crying girl and asked what was wrong. "I worked so hard for that test, Alessandro. I got only 18%. If I don't get good marks on the second semester test, I won't be able to take the exam and I'll have to repeat the module, and I really don't want that," replied Lily.
Perhaps others thought she was overreacting, but Alessandro knew how much failing a test affected Lily. He knew that in the following days, she wouldn't be able to eat properly, her mood would be down, and she would beat herself up over the test as if she hadn't worked hard. He hated seeing his princess cry like this. He knew he had to do something to make her feel better. "Well, when I was in college, professors used to have makeup tests. I'm sure you will get the opportunity to retake it."
Even if that professor didn't offer makeup tests, Alessandro would do anything to make sure Lily could retake the test. Maybe he couldn't always fix everything for Lily, but as long as he was alive, it would be Lily's way or no way at all. No, Lily would not repeat the module, and that was final. It took a few minutes for Lily to calm down, and when she did, Alessandro told her to look at the backseat.
As she followed instructions, she came across a delightful sight: a bouquet of enormous red roses elegantly wrapped in black paper, accompanied by a small Chanel bag. It was no surprise, as she had been anticipating a gift from him, as per their usual routine. Whenever Alessandro needed to apologize, he always did so with a tangible gesture.
Putting aside thoughts of genetics and grades, she eagerly shifted to the side and positioned herself on her chair with her knees, then reached towards the backseat. It's worth noting that she was still wearing a mini skirt, which left little to the imagination. One can only imagine what Alessandro saw as Lily leaned over with her knees on the chair, revealing her backside.
Fortunately, Alessandro was relieved that his windows were tinted, as it prevented others from catching a glimpse of the enticing view. He couldn't help but think that it was perhaps best if only he had the privilege of witnessing it.
