Arena stormed into her apartment, slamming the door closed behind her. "Damn bitch," she muttered through gritted teeth.

Angelina, Arena's friend and roommate, who had been watching a thriller series on the couch, gave her a bored look. "I guess it didn't go as you planned," she remarked, noting Arena's typical anger whenever it involved her longtime enemy, Alessandro.

Arena responded by forcefully throwing a flower vase against the nearest wall. "Some girl got to Alessandro before I could talk to him," Arena angrily explained.

Her plan had been to approach Alessandro and warn him that the containers were smuggling people, not guns, and then leave. Once the containers were discovered to indeed contain people, Alessandro would undoubtedly seek her out to learn more. At that point, she would arrange a meeting where she could force Alessandro to do as she wished.

Angelina turned off the series and focused her attention on Arena. "It could be any girl he's messing around with right now," she suggested.

"She was too comfortable around Alessandro," Arena replied, reflecting on the memory of Lily boldly grabbing Alessandro's attention without a care in the world. It was surprising, considering Alessandro's reputation. Arena paused, sighing heavily and rubbing her forehead as if she had a headache. "Looks like I'll have to go with plan B," she whispered with a gloomy expression. It was clear that she wasn't thrilled about this alternative.

Arena glanced at her friend, wishing she had someone she trusted as much as Angelina to send instead. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. "What? I don't think I'm going to like your plan," Angelina said, her skin already covered in goosebumps.

"I want you to infiltrate Alessandro's mansion. I've done my research. Mrs. Jones, the head housekeeper, has a daughter who happens to be the same age as you. Coincidentally, you are a perfect match to pose as her daughter. They won't suspect a thing. Alessandro has forbidden his staff from bringing their families into the mansion, so I highly doubt they will notice your true identity. Mrs. Jones will have a day off tomorrow, and during that time I'll handle Mrs Jones, while you can plead with Alessandro on your knees for a job to help pay your mom's hospital bills."

"We've been best friends for so long, Arena, but every time I ask about your connection with Alessandro, you stay silent. If you're leading me into a dangerous situation, you might as well let me know what exactly I'm getting myself into."

"His parents killed mine and took away their land. Recently, Alessandro met with a bank owner to sell that very land. I may not have the power to seek revenge for my parents yet, but I need to secure my claim on that land before the owner takes it," Arena confided.

"Isn't Alessandro more dangerous than the owner? Shouldn't you be focusing on reclaiming the land from the owner instead of going after Alessandro?" Angelina questioned. As someone involved in underground activities, she knew all too well about Alessandro's reputation and had no interest in crossing paths with him.

"True, Alessandro is indeed more dangerous, but the owner has connections with the government. Once the land is under the owner's name, it will be nearly impossible to retrieve it. Besides, I'm not alone in this endeavor. There are others planning to overthrow Alessandro from his throne. While he fights to maintain his position, we can quietly carry out our plan," Arena explained, revealing a strategic approach.

The next morning, Theo entered Alessandro's office, clutching an envelope in his hands. "C-capo," he greeted Theo, his voice trembling slightly.
