As soon as she walked into the mansion, a body threw itself onto her. Thankfully, Alessandro was behind her and managed to steady Lily as she stumbled backwards.

"Lily!" exclaimed Emma happily, wrapping her arms around Lily and bursting into tears. "What's wrong?" asked Lily with concern, trying to break free from the hug to see her friend's face. However, Emma held onto her tightly, her body trembling against Lily's.

"Please talk to me," pleaded Lily, her voice wavering. It pained her to see Emma cry like this, as she knew Emma was usually strong-willed. Finally, Emma released the hug and showered Lily's face with kisses. Alessandro clenched his teeth but remained silent, knowing that the girls were affectionate with each other.

Being slightly taller than Lily, Emma looked down at her friend, tears silently streaming down her face. "I'll never forgive you if you die before me," she whispered before pulling Lily into another embrace.

This was the second time Lily had heard someone say something about her not dying. The first time was when Alessandro saved her from Tony's penthouse and held her tightly in the parking lot, muttering something like, "You're not allowed to die."

At that time, Lily assumed it was because Tony had nearly strangled her to death. However, Emma was unaware of the incident with Tony, so Lily wondered where her words were coming from. "What are you talking about?" Lily asked, her voice muffled against Emma's neck.

Realizing that her friend was unaware of the presence of her face and car pictures in the college group chat, Alessandro understood why Emma was so shaken up. However, he chose to remain silent because it was better to let Lily know now, as she was calmer than before. Plus, he couldn't hide it from her forever since it was all over the internet.

Emma pulled away from the hug and informed Lily, "Your car exploded, and it's all over the internet and group chat."

Lily chuckled and responded, "My car is fine. Someone is probably just messing around in the group chat."

"She's right," Alessandro agreed. Lily froze, asking, "What do you mean my car exploded?"

Emma handed Lily her phone, which contained an article about the incident. Lily quickly scanned the screen, confirming that it was true. Her car had indeed exploded. Emma's phone slipped from her hands and fell to the tiled floor.

Stuttering, Lily exclaimed, "W-what?" She immediately started running towards the nearest restroom, but she didn't make it in time. By the time Alessandro and Emma reached her, Lily had vomited all over the restroom floor. Unfazed by the smell or disgusted by the situation, Alessandro crouched down next to her, pulling her hair back so that it wouldn't get in her way as she continued to throw up.

It seemed like death was coming for her. If she had chosen to drive herself to Alessandro's workplace instead, Tony might not have had the chance to choke her. She could have ended up exploding into pieces and burning to ashes. "Who did this? Why? What if I had been in the car?" These questions swirled in Lily's mind.

After completing her task, Alessandro instructed Emma, "Find someone to clean up and meet me in Lily's room with water." He gently picked up Lily's trembling body, resembling a dry leaf. Inside Lily's room, Alessandro carefully lowered her onto the bed, but Lily's arms clung tightly around his neck, refusing to let go. With a shaky voice, Lily whispered to Alessandro, "If I had been in the car, Alessandro, could it have exploded just like that? Or is someone trying to kill me? I know they don't like me, but to kill me..."
