Alessandro entered his building. Every worker in the lobby stood up as a sign of respect. He treated them like air and went straight for the lift. No worker was offended by the cold shoulder behaviour from their boss. This was the norm. Their boss didn't talk to them unless it was about work, trivial things like greetings were only saved for clients.

The lift dinged reaching the last floor, which was a third floor where his office was. He sauntered out of the lift to his office.

The two secretaries Lawanda young adult that deal with the mafia part of the company and Meagan, the middle-aged woman that deal with the legal parts of the company, sitting direct opposite to each other stood up: “Good morning, Sir.” They both greeted.

They got the same treatment as the workers at the lobby, and Alessandro disappeared into his office.

After a minute, Lawanda... She swallowed nothing and exhaled hard before raising her hand to knock. A gruffy voice from inside her granted permission to enter.

She entered with an iPad in her hands. She nervously glanced at the CEO, who had his eyes on the screen in front of him. After having been working for Alessandro for six years, Lawanda was still afraid to be in her boss's presence. Not because she knew behind the CEO title, he was a mob leader, but the other's personality was to dominating that it shattered whoever's self-confident in his presence.

“What?” Alessandro asked.

“We have a problem,” came from Lawanda.

Alessandro's fingers paused from moving around the keyboard and gave Lawanda what others, but Lily described as a frightening blank stare.

Lawanda swiftly handed over the iPad with two hands: “One of the containers that came by ship from Russia had hundred-fifty bodies.” Even though her boss's face remained emotionless, she could see his chest moving up and down looking down at the iPad.

“Human trafficking?” he growled. What he was reading was enraging him. He handed the iPad back to its owner before he broke it in anger.

Fine, DeLuca International (Pty) Ltd, twenty years ago was import-export mafia company owned by his father it shipped every illegal thing a person can think including humans but after he took over, he worked so hard to be not some low-class mafia and turned the company into a big glass building multimillion company.

He still takes mafia contracts because he was too entangled in the underworld to abandon it. But he wasn't like his father. He'd his limit: drugs, weapons that could start a war between continents, people were part of his limit. But some fucker was provoking him.

“I'm not sure, Sir. I looked into it; the container was supposed to be carrying Ak-47s. The deal was between a small Russia gang owned by Dima and a New York Night club owner, Christopher Evans. Our contract was not to find a buyer we were just a middleman and Dima's contract condition was to not open the container, and left a contact information to notify immediately when the ship arrives at the port and Christopher was going to pick it up. The club owner was contacted, but instead of him showing up cops showed with permission to open every container only from the ship from Russia.”

Alessandro phone on the desk chimed. He picked it up and saw it was a text from Theodore, the deputy Capo. It was a picture of Theodore laying on the pool of his blood. He flung the phone on the desk. “Find me more information on Dimi.” He ordered and then dismissed her.
